Guided Meditation Returning Home

A guided meditation that invites you to settle into your breath and observe thoughts and emotions without judgment. It welcomes every inner part of yourself, from the perfectionist to the protector, then guides you toward an inner reservoir of wisdom and resilience that already exists within you.

Begin by finding a comfortable position, somewhere safe, quiet, supported by the ground beneath you. Let your eyes soften. Or close if that feels right. And bring your awareness gently to the breath. No need to change it. Just noticing the breath as it flows in. In. And out. And as you notice the breath, allow whatever is here To be here. Whatever sensations, thoughts, emotions, you don't need to do anything about them. Just include them in your awareness, like waves moving across a vast ocean. You are the ocean, not the wave. There may be parts of you that want to figure things out, that want to get it right, to fix or solve or heal something. And you can let even those parts be here. They are welcome just as they are. You might sense them as a voice, or an image, or a feeling. Whatever comes, you can simply say inwardly, you're welcome here. I know you want something good for me. You don't have to know what that is. You don't have to understand. You can just trust that every part of you, even the ones that feel difficult, are doing something they learned to do to help you. To keep you safe, to make sure you would survive. And now, allow your awareness to expand gently, as though it could stretch beyond the body. Beyond thought, into something softer, quieter, what some call the field of awareness. Or the ground of all being. That place that has always been here, before the story, before the effort, before the striving. That which holds everything with no judgment. A kind of inner space. A presence that just watches. With love and stillness and infinite patience. In this field, all parts are safe. There's no need to perform, no need to prove, No need to understand. You can rest now. Even the parts that feel like shame, that believe there's something wrong with you, Can come forward and be gently met with this awareness, as if to say, you belong, even now, especially now. Maybe there was a time when you were expected to know, to do it right, to excel without ever being shown. And maybe that part inside still feels it has to try harder, to be perfect. To please. And right now, that part can be held like a child, gently wrapped in kindness, as if a wiser, older presence could say, You never had to carry that alone. There is no rush. There's no right way to be. Everything that arises is simply a movement, phenomenon, passing through the open sky of awareness. Nothing to fix. Nothing to control. Just this moment and your willingness to be with it. Now imagine that deep inside you, there is an inner reservoir of wisdom, of healing, of resilience, so deep, You don't need to know how it works. You don't need to earn it. It's already here. And every part of you, even the ones still protecting or panicking or bracing, Can begin to relax just a little, knowing there's a space for them too. They can return when they're ready. But they don't have to run the show anymore. Healing is happening right now, not because you're making it happen, But because something deeper is being remembered. The truth of who you are underneath all the pain and noise. You are not your shame. You are not your history. You are not your illness. You are the one who is aware, the one who welcomes, the one who loves even without saying the words. Take a breath into that. Feel what it's like to just be, to rest in your own beingness, to know that it is safe to heal. In your own way, in your own time, without force, without pressure. And when you are ready, you can begin to bring your attention back slowly. Gently carrying this presence with you to whatever comes next. And remember, there is nothing missing, nothing broken, Nothing to fix. Just parts returning home.
