Hey, good afternoon viewers. Today is National Beer Day, Friday, April 7th. How's everybody doing out there? Beautiful Friday today. Today I am celebrating National Beer Day with a Sam Adams Revel Grapefruit IPA. Cheers! Great beer, great fruity taste. 6.3% alcohol by volume, 52 bitter units, so it is, it is definitely on the bitter side. Of course, with it being an IPA, it's definitely refreshing. It's got a refreshing taste to it. And these Sam Adams, they that I've had, that I had last video and this video, they're both more of an obscure Sam Adams, but you don't usually find them and they're very tasty, the Hopscape and this Rebel Grapefruit. So today I just wanted to talk about how this week has been. I didn't release a video last weekend because me and Lydia had some friends in town, Claire and Chris. Yeah, what's up Claire and Chris? They came in town to visit us here in beautiful Key West. We have a lot of visitors. We have a— like I showed you guys in the first video, we have a spare bedroom and a spare bathroom, so we constantly have visitors come in and out all the time. And we advocate that, you know, we, we want to share this beautiful place with our family and friends as well, whether it be they want to go fishing, kayaking, go to the beach, go enjoy the great seafood down here. We took Claire and Chris kayaking on Sunday over at the Sugarloaf Marina. We're here on Sugarloaf Key at mile marker 19, and we took them to the, the marina right there, and we went through the mangroves and went through some mangrove trails and stuff like that, and it was a great day for it. It was beautiful. I love kayaking down here. It's definitely one of the best, one of our favorite pastimes, mine and Lydia's, is kayaking and biking. Just because the accessibility of a boat is— because I'm only down here for like 3 years, the accessibility of a boat is just, it's not feasible right now to try to buy a boat and have it for 3 years and pay for all the maintenance and gas and stuff like that to go fishing. I would love to go fishing, but it's just, it's very expensive, very expensive down here. And plus with gas and rent being as expensive as it is, we have to kind of pinch our pennies. As where we, where we can, you know. But today is a, today's a beautiful day. It's a Friday, TGIF. I had a great week. Lydia had a great week. We're excited about next weekend. We're going back, we're flying back to Brunswick for Eric's wedding. We're both from Brunswick, Georgia, which is right in the middle of Savannah and Jacksonville. If you guys know about those two towns. Of course, Savannah is one of the oldest towns in America, and Jacksonville is a big metropolis city in northeast Florida. Right off 95, beautiful beaches, great, you know, great beach coastal atmosphere. They call it the Golden Isles. Not many people know that Georgia has a beach in a coastal area, but we do. It's a stretch of about 100-150 miles, but there is some coastal waters. Provides, you know, a lot of cool outdoor activities, and we love to try to get back as well whenever we can. Um, what else? Today, this week was pretty hard. I'm a 2M technician at at the Naval Air Station here, NAS Key West. It's on Boca Chica Key, mile marker 8. And this week was a good week. It was a good week for me. I'm a 2M technician. I do soldering work. I'm an electronics technician, so I do a lot of troubleshooting on communication and radar equipment for the air station. But right now I'm in a capacity of where I solder certain components and I troubleshoot component down to component-level repair on circuit cards so that we can help save the taxpayers money where we can or save DOD money where we can. So there's times where it, you know, everything's stacked up against me and then there's times where I do have time to work on professional development, continuing education, qualifications. Things like that, or collateral duties. But there are times when I'm strapped down and I have to concentrate on my work of, you know, getting these circuit cards and getting these equipment back to running at high capacity or operational, just to help support the mission of training pilots. And that's our mission there at NAS Key West, is training pilots to operate on aircraft carriers. Um, what else can I tell you about us? So this is our third video. I'm using my Canon right now. This is a Canon my grandmother got me actually, I think 3 or 4 years ago. It was a while ago. It was about 3 or 4 years ago. I hardly ever break it out, but in the first video I used my Samsung LG G5, just a basic, basic camera, basic phone camera. But I was actually surprised because that works pretty well. The second video, because this one was kind of shaky, I wanted to try out different camera mediums and video mediums. Because that was kind of shaky, I wanted to try out my Samsung laptop, the, the Google Chromebook I have, and that one It didn't work well because it doesn't have video software on it. I had to download Clipchamp to actually use video software. So now I'm using my Canon, and I think I'm going to try my GoPro for next video. But I'll check you guys out in the next video. Thanks for watching. Click like, subscribe, tell me what you guys think, what other beers I should review. Alright, stay thirsty, my friends.
