Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about an up and coming trip that I want to invite everyone to come join me because I'm going to be filming all of what I'm doing on this particular trip that I am so excited about going on. It's going to take me to some of my favorite places and I want to invite everyone to follow me on my Instagram, which is onypatrie on Instagram. I'm going to be filming daily my activities and all that I'm doing on while I am abroad. So I will be leaving to go to Greece. Santorini. I will be in Santorini from October 30 till November 5 and we plan to stay on the island, get a feel. I love Greece. I love the food, I love the people and I love the history.

Santorini is probably one of the most beautiful places on earth but it has so many tourists for the most part that it's overly crowded. We're going on the off season. I cannot wait and staying there. So I will be filling you in on all of my adventures while I am there in Santorini, Greece and the next place I'm going, which is probably, I have to say, my favorite place on the planet. Istanbul, Turkey. I have such a great community of friends there. I was brought to Istanbul for about a period of five to seven years. I would go once to twice a year and teach and they have such a beautiful community. I have such long standing friends there.

So I'm going to be staying in Turkey, in Istanbul from November 5th through the 9th. And during that time I've got some great celebrations I want to share with you. The first one is November 5th is going to be my husband and I, Daniel, our 40th wedding anniversary. So what a place to speak. Spend it in Istanbul, my favorite place. And also three days later is my birthday, November 8th. But we're going to be celebrating at. We're going to, we're going to spring for the last few days to stand at the Kerrigan palace, the Kempinski where I'm going to have a brunch with my friends to celebrate my birthday and.

I miss seeing them all. So we're going to come together, we're going to have this beautiful celebration and the first few nights we're going to stay over by Taksim Square because this was where my memories started in Turkey where I would teach and.

Walk the Taksim and go down Istikul street so many times.

Have dinner at the fish market, it's just such a beautiful, beautiful country. And the people, their warmth and generosity is really amazing. And guess what? I actually need a carpet this time. So I'm going to be probably going to a lot of the carpet places. I definitely need a carpet for the first time. Time, I think, since I've been going to Turkey and I'm planning on making some purchases during this time. So I'll be in Taksim the first few nights and then the Kempinski, which is on the Bosphorus, to relax and enjoy and celebrate life and all of the good memories that I hold with my dear, dear friends from Turkey. Where's the next stop going to be that I'm going to take you as I'm on Instagram. Instagram. I'm going to take you to Morocco. Because we are going to Morocco, Marrakesh. And we're going to be there from November 12th to the 13th. I mean, actually, no, that's when we're going to leave, but we're going to be in Marrakesh from November 9th to the 12th. Morocco. I haven't been there. I actually was in Morocco when I was around 19 and 20 years old. My parents took us on a tour of Spain and Morocco. And I have fond memories of this mystical, unusual, unique place. I can't wait to see what it's like today. But I have to share with you something funny. My very favorite tarot deck comes from Fez, Morocco. So I will be on a search to get another tarot deck from Morocco. But Daniel, my husband, is going to surprise me with where we're staying there. I don't know. So this will be an adventure. And then right before we come back, we're going to spend a night in Spain, in Madrid. So we will be in Spain, let's see, from November 12th to the 13th. So just enough time to have a wonderful, delicious Spanish meal. And I know the food, all the food along the Mediterranean and in Spain, to me is just fabulous. I love the olive oils. I can't wait to eat all the olives. Throughout Greece, Turkey, Morocco, and even Spain. I love olives. And I cannot wait to experience the culture, the food, the people. And if you're in any of these places, I hope that I will get to meet you. Because one of my most favorite things about traveling is meeting people. And then I'll spend four days at home. And then I'm off to the Sedona Conference in Sedona, Arizona, where I hope if you're going to that conference, I will get to meet you. Please come up, talk to me. I love meeting all of you and I just want to let everyone know where I'm headed, where I'm going. I know with the coronavirus, the way it is, traveling won't be a piece of cake. It will not be easy. Lockdown has got me with the travel fever. I am a world traveler. I love traveling and seeing different cultures experiencing it from the heart, from the people, from the food. And I wanted to take you on this journey and I will have my phone with me. So be ready to watch videos from Instagram on all of. All of this journey throughout.
