Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to start a series on healing the planets because all of us.
Need to know what planetary energy that needs to be healed. And actually, if I could say this myself, we need to heal all the planets. All the planets represent a certain aspect of ourselves. Our personality, our soul, our purpose, everything about us. This is all in relevance to a rulership with the planets. And remember, I always say that we have our own solar system within us which connects to our chakras, such as the root chakra is Saturn. The reproductive chakra is Jupiter. The solar plexus is actually Mars. Then we come to Venus, which is love, which is the heart chakra. Mercury is communications, and the sun and the moon. Do you realize this is our solar system? From the slowest to the fastest moving planet. It connects to our energy centers in our body. And the astrological birth chart gives us all the information we need as to how to improve and heal ourselves ourselves. So I thought I might go over each planet and what we can do to heal those issues or energies with these planets in our birth chart. So before I go into great detail.

We wouldn't be here if it weren't for the sun. Our solar system revolves around the sun. What an important planet. That's probably why we talk about sun signs in Western astrology. But the sun and really all the planets in Vedic astrology, it really is about their strengths or their weaknesses, whether or not this planet is our powerhouse or something that is difficult for us to deal with. But I believe that maybe a chart tells you something.
That is who we are based on our karma, our past, everything to do with who we were before. That's why we are who we are today. But with this understanding about the planets, this is what you need to transform and change. Don't believe for a minute that because your chart says you've got a sun that's difficult.
That you're destined to losses around that planet. It isn't so. But the chart tells you that's the planet you have to work on in order to heal it. Because.
You'Ll come back in another lifetime and have to work on it again if you don't heal it. And otherwise it becomes this broken record of coming back, doing the same thing over and over again till we heal it. So the chart gives us what we're supposed to be working on and healing.
And I'm specifically going to be talking about the sun today.
So what would it mean if you have problems or issues with your sun?
Well, they say that when a planet's debilitated, it's the weakest point it can be in. So it is, it's a problem, it needs to be worked on. And therefore that would mean every single person that has a sun in Libra, by the way, I have a sun in library, has an issue with their sun. And so that entails people that are born around the, let's see, the 14th of October till about the 14th of November, that's a sun in Libra, give or take, around these times.
So.
Not everybody that has that has these great issues with the sun's energy. What is the sun's energy all about? It's about your ego. And what's the ego? Well, you know, they say edging God out is what I've heard before. But the ego is that sense of self. Now we all have an ego. There's nothing wrong with it. It's just those that take the ego to the level of extremes where they think they're better than everyone else. That's ego. And we're not. We're all one, we're all the same. So let's get together with what this is a debilitated sun. Or it doesn't just have to be debilitated sun, it can be aspected by malefic planets. If three or more malefics aspect the sun, it's got problems. So what are the malefic planets? The malefics are Mars, Rahu, Ketu, Saturn. And actually the sun is considered a malefic, believe it or not, in Vedic astrology. But those planets aspecting the sun are going to cause it to be weakened, such as Ketu with the sun, Rahu with the sun, or Mars. These are all. Even though Mars and the sun kind of like each other, they came from the same planetary camp. It still causes some issues around the sun.
The house the sun's in can be problematic. Sun in the eighth sun in the Destana, houses that cause issues and problems. Those houses are 6, 8 and 12. The sun in these houses could cause some problems.
So I'm talking about a whole array of things, but based on. Basically, let me say this. If you have problems with your self esteem, if you have problems with your confidence, if you have problems with.
How you feel about yourself, not worthy, you feel you can't achieve your goals, you've got issues with your son.
Regardless how it's placed in the chart.
But those that do, you know Saturn with the sun, you're going to be steeped with issues of low confidence, no self esteem.
But that's exactly what you have to overcome. Now what's interesting is when you look to the Navamsha chart.
Where the sun goes tells you, here's the possibilities of where it's going to unravel and go. What is your highest development in this life? What will you become? That's the Navamsha. It's called the fruit of the tree. So look at your sun where it is in the birth chart. Where does it go in the Navamsha? That means the birth chart's the promise, while the Navamsha is the fruit. Will the promise bear fruit.
That'S seen in the Navamsha? Now I must share with you. My debilitated sun is actually conjunct Saturn. Of course, Saturn's exalted, thank goodness, in Libra. But.
I never had confidence growing up. I always thought people were better. I always put myself down. I was, you know, victim, all of that. Yes.
But my son goes to Aries in the Navamsha, so it goes to its exaltation sign in the Navamsha. And sometimes that's not altogether great, but it means that I have the ability to overcome the obstacles of the debilitated sun. But even if it changes to a bad sign in the Navamsha, the this is where you have to work. You have to overcome the tendencies. But knowing what the tendencies are is the first thing. And that's what your horoscope should provide you with. What's the issue that you have to work on and overcome? You are not destined to.
Just live out these charts in terms of you have no free will. Your free will is everything. And actually I just. I've been doing Some work with the third house. The third house is our free will. That's important.
So the sun.
If it's exalted and its exaltation sign is Aries, this means the sun is all powerful. But sometimes I find people with the sun like this, exalted, are egocentric. Now, that's not any way to be. You're not going to have any friends if you're so full of yourself and egocentric. You're not going to be happy when your son is over the top, exalted too strongly. But this is a gift and a power to have an exalted son. But it must be used wisely.
In accordance of empowering yourself and others, not being so egocentric.
So, and there's my dog, always, always making noise when I'm trying to get through these videos. But going back to the sun.
The sun is your sense of who you are, your power, your life force, your inspiration too, because it's fiery, it's your soul. So this is such an important planet to be empowered and be aware of. So wherever your sun is in your chart, that's where your source is, of inspiration, of power.
And this is what you've come here to work on, to find who you are. Because the sun is who you are.
And to heal it.
There'S many things you can do. Well, one thing, in Vedic astrology, we assign gemstones. Gemstones are extremely powerful.
But they must be precious gemstones. Therefore they can be very, very pricey.
And the sun's gemstone is the ruby. Why do you think all the kings and queens had these powerful, powerful gemstones? They were extremely powerful. But sometimes it's overwhelming power and it can almost be destructive if you're not using the right stone. But the sun is the ruby. Wearing a ruby can strengthen your sun. But don't think that you don't have to do any work. That's preposterous. We have to do the work. Yes, these energies, these subtle energies can help us, but. So if you were to wear a ruby, and Sunday is the day that is most honorable to recognize and empower the sun's energy yourself. The sun is also the father. So many times when you have a debilitated sun, or if you have planets aspecting the sun that are malefic, there'll be issues with your father.
But here's the other aspect that you can do to really heal the issues of the sun, that means empowering yourself.
Through empowering other people. So becoming a teacher, becoming a healer, becoming someone that empowers others will Heal the energy of the problematic issue you have with your son in a chart and depending on what house it's in, will give you the idea of what you can do. Empower people. The houses are.
The stage. They're everything to understanding yourself. Sun in the first house, you're here to recognize your self empowerment. Sun in the second house, you're here to understand your empowerment through wealth and money, and that means giving to those.
That need the. Sun in the third.
Journaling, writing, communicating with others in a better way.
Sun in the fourth.
Your issues through wanting to have home and family come together, that needs to be healed. Sun in the fifth, healing issues with children and finding your creative source that empowers you. Sun in the six, becoming a healer to help others, to heal yourself and to heal others. That's what it's about for you. Sun in the seventh, you came here to learn through relationships.
And to let others have the power.
Not control you, not hurt you, but to empower your partner.
Sun in the eighth, this takes you to the depths of the soul. Through psychoanalysis, through healing, metaphysics, you can help heal others. Sun in the ninth.
Ninth house, deals with spirituality and truth. Becoming a teacher, becoming a philosopher, becoming someone who gives guidance to others through spiritual truth.
Sun in the 10th, having your own career, having your own business, but empowering others through this. Sun in the 11th, empowering groups, people, and making the world a better place through humanitarian efforts. Sun in the 12th, learning to let go of the past and all the ills that you brought with you from many, many lifetimes before. This is your mission. And that means you must remember.
And let go of the things that hurt you the most.
And that sometimes is not easy.
But what we all need to do is to empower our sun.
And these are the ways that we can do it.
Now, if you want to do mantra work or affirmation work, the sun is Surya.
And you can do Om kleem shreem surya namah, or you can do affirmations. May I become.
The power, the strength to help heal my life and heal others. Do affirmation work. Because whatever it is you want to achieve, with the power of the sun, you will achieve it.
You see, everything is in our mind. And if we can change the way we think, the way we believe, our emotional body, we will change our life to what we need and what we want. And how is that done? When you say an affirmation enough to when you get over your disbelief that that affirmation is true, that's when you transform you see, if you say, I want to be a millionaire.
But every time you say that, you think, no, I'm not, or you say, I am, you always put it in the present context. I am wealthy and prosperous.
That's a better way to put it. Because sometimes wealth and prosperity is not always about money.
But obviously, if you say you want prosperity or I am prosperous, and every time your thinking mind contradicts, no, I'm not, you keep saying it to you know it, you believe it, then you know it and it becomes your reality and your truth. This is the power of affirmation work. And the sun is your ego, it's who you are, it's your soul, it's your spirit. Focus in on transforming the sun in your chart and you will have.
All the riches life provides. And really all the planets provide something just as important. But I have to say, our spirit.
The sun is our spirit. So focus in on healing your spirit. How powerful is that? That's the power of the sun. So with that, I'd like to close.
