Joni Patry (Vedic astrologer) explains Jupiter moving into 0° Cancer and stationing there Oct 18–Dec 5, 2025 (then retrograding back into Gemini until June 1, 2026). She argues 0–3° of a cardinal sign is ‘Virgotama’ (powerful in the Navamsa) and stresses Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, amplifying prosperity, housing demand, spirituality and peace. Patry applies this to world events — noting former/current U.S. president Donald Trump’s natal Saturn at 0° Cancer (in the 12th house) and suggests Jupiter’s station could bring conclusions/endings (potentially to wars) and a sneak-peek of improved housing/economic conditions. She also links a Venus retrograde in Jan–Feb 2025 and a ~9-month cycle to peace developments around Sept–Oct 2025.

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, I want to talk about something that's coming up here very soon that I have been anticipating for quite some time. Some time. And that is when Jupiter is going to touch foot into the sign of Cancer and station there. It will stand still from October 18 till December 5.
And this will be a godsend because Jupiter is exalted in cancer, loves it. But course after around December 5, it's going to back up into Gemini where it will remain till June 1st of 2026.
So we're going to get a little glimpse of what's to come the summer of 2026. Check out our new website for universityofvedicastrology.com see what the students say about studying with me and what the University of Vedic Astrology has done for them. Go to universityofvedicastrology.com now let's get going. What am I talking about with Jupiter? Because it goes into cancer October 18, but then it stations. A station is where a planet literally stands still. Because here it is, it's going direct and all of a sudden it's about to turn retrograde. So it stops to get its bearings, to change its direction. So Jupiter will turn retrograde in November, but the whole time that it is at 0 degrees of cancer is phenomenal. And here's why I say that so many astrologers, they will say that planets in Their zero degree marking or early, early degrees are in their infant stage. They're weak.
That is not true. And I shouldn't go against what some of the teachings say, but. But here is why I know this is not true. Any planet that is at its zero degree marking, first three degrees actually of a cardinal sign is Virgotama. And what virgotama means, it will stay in the same exact sign in the Navamsa chart. The Navamsha chart is the chart of who we're becoming. It's where everything is divided up into nines. And you know the power of the number nine.
I don't think I need to tell you what Nikola Tesla said. If you understand the workings of the numbers 3, 6 and 9, you will understand the workings of the universe. And this is what this is all about. This empowers this degree mark. Because when a planet is in the same sign in the birth chart as it is in the Navamsha, which any planet, 3 degrees, 0 to 3 degrees in 20 minutes of a cardinal sign, which. What are the cardinal signs? We have Aries, we have Libra, we have Cancer, we have Capricorn. Those are the cardinal signs. And they are the most. In Vedic astrology, we call them Chara. They're the most action oriented. They are.
Eventful. And for Mars, I mean, I'm sorry, Jupiter, to be not only at zero degrees, which means it's for Gotama, it's in the same exact sign in the D9 when the 9th division is divided up makes it incredibly powerful. Virgotima means major power. And on top of that, I want you to know Jupiter is exalted in Cancer. My goodness, it is so powerful. This is the sign that Jupiter prospers the most. Jupiter is opportunities. Jupiter is prosperity. Jupiter is abundance. Jupiter is wealth. It expands things.
And in its favorite sign, it expands the opportunity for spirituality. And here it is, standing still, making its mark, stationing. I always tell all of my students when a planet stands still, it's 10 times more powerful, maybe even much, much more. But it empowers that planet. It's standing still while all the other planets are moving, saying, look at me, I have something to say. And. And it's important.
It's clearing the air for everything.
Now because it doesn't stay in Cancer. In other words, on December 5, its movement is going to take it back into Gemini till June 1. This is only a preliminary peek at what's to come by the time it goes into cancer in June, June 1st of 2026. And basically it's going to stay in cancer for about a year now. It's going to go a little bit into Leo, back and forth, but basically it'll be in cancer for a year.
And one thing I do know, cancer rules is family.
And that means next, when Jupiter goes and stays into cancer, the housing markets are going to open up. And probably a glimpse of that's going to be happening October to December here in 2025. So we're going to get a sneak peek of what's going to be happening in the summer. Now here is something else that I think is monumental.
I always look at world leaders charts when I'm looking at where all these planetary energies are going in terms of what countries are going to be experiencing what. And because Trump is the president of the United States right now, I happen to notice something very interesting.
His natal Saturn sits at zero degrees of cancer. That means that transiting Jupiter when it stations will be on his Saturn.
And when a planet stations, it is all powerful, all powerful. And so his Saturn sits at zero degrees of cancer. And actually his Venus is close to it as well, a few degrees away. Let me put up his chart so you can see what I'm talking about. It sits in his 12th house, which can deal with endings. And because Jupiter's the great benefic, it means something he's been working on he will bring to an end or a conclusion. The 12th House deals with bringing things to its end. And I am thinking this could have something to do with the wars that are going on that he has been trying to bring to an end. Jupiter is the great benefic. This is nothing tragic or terrible because of Jupiter's energy being the great benefic. And it's stationed on his Saturn. 12th house is bringing things to a conclusion. And I think this is like the sneak preview. Something by the end of the year based on the fact of his chart tells me something good will happen, will be brought to an end. And this is.
Life changing. Here's another thing I want to bring, why I keep talking about peace before the end of the year with Jupiter Station here.
Because it was around January and February that Venus was retrograde.
In the beginning of the year of 2025. And Venus is the planet of peace. And when it goes retrograde, it has this beautiful cycle that every time it goes retrograde, if you follow each of those points in space, it forms a pentagram.
And from that I have noted and some research around peace, peace treaties and war, that when there's war and Venus goes retrograde that there is a cycle of around nine months following the retrograde process that peace has brought about. I have followed that in my basic book, Eastern Astrology for Western Minds. The that book I did my research concerning Venus, its cycle and peace that it brings, and especially in terms of how it forms the morning and the evening star. But I noted that it was nine months after the retrograde process began. And this will take us into September, October, while Jupiter is stationing. So this is another indicator that I think we're looking at a time where the finality and peace will come about. I'm looking at it through Trump's chart, through the process of Jupiter stationing at that most powerful degree.
That it's for Gotama.
And it's in the best sign for spirituality and opportunity. Good things are going to come about. So with that, I'm looking forward to Jupiter as it stations in Cancer, because that's a sneak preview of what's to come. Even more good in peace and prosperity.
By June, July of 2026. So with that, I think I'll close once again. If you want to learn more about me, go to my website, Galactic Center.org and if you want to learn from me, go to my university website, which is universityofvedicastrology.com thank you.
