Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about the new moon for April. And this is a really big new moon because in Vedic astrology, we call this the yearly chart. When you have the new moon in Pisces, it reflects the entire year till we have another new moon in Pisces, which is one year later. It will occur either in March or April. So this one will tell us a lot about what we can expect not only for this month, but the entire year. Universityofvedicastrology.com so now let's get on and talk about what this new moon chart for April is telling us, not only for the month, but for the entire year. So, so we have the new moon occur April 11. And the new moon, of course, is when the sun and the moon come together. Exactly. And they come together at 28 degrees of Pisces. And 28 degrees, 28, 29 degrees is considered Gandanta, which means, actually literally means not. But what I foresee it as is when things become out of control, many times it has the depiction of drowning, probably because Gandanta degrees are always the last few degrees of a water sign and the first degrees of fire. But when it's in that water, it has that emotional flood that it really does pertain to.
And I want to say that this 28 degrees of Pisces, you know, it was that there were some really powerful, powerful planets when I did some research at that 28, 29 degrees around those degrees of Pisces when the Titanic sunk. So you get the idea that it deals with issues around water, floods, and things that are completely out of control. And that's what I foresee with this new moon being here and especially in Pisces. We have Mercury there as well. And Mercury is in Pisces, debilitated. So it deals pretty much with Mercury, deals with communications, how the communications are a problem. So dealing with communications.
Mercury being in Pisces will reflect back to Jupiter because Jupiter is the Dispositor. So what are these communication breakdowns? What are they all about? And Mercury can deal with learning and education, which the schools because of the coronavirus, everything's kind of been backlogged or set back.
The children of the world have to catch up.
And Jupiter being in Aquarius now, now in this new moon, Jupiter is right there. 1 degree of Aquarius within this time frame of the new Moon. And Aquarius is all about changes. Major changes that have to happen concerning humanity changing the world, making it a better place. This is what's going to be in the forefront throughout this year till the next new moon in Pisces in 2022. How can we make it a better world? That's going to be the major focus.
And some great changes will occur because of this. This is a promise. Now sometimes these great changes come with a price and I see a big price tag with this because during this new moon we have Mars conjunct Rahu. Yes, Mars is at 28 degrees as well. But Mars Rahu is really intense. Let me just say they deal with fighting, with drastic events. And when I look at Mars in terms of its dispositing planet, Venus, Venus at this time is in Aries. Now let me remind you, Mars is in Taurus. Guess what? Mars is in Taurus, ruled by Venus. Venus is in Aries, ruled by Mars. So we have this Venus, Mars Parivartana. This is a mutual exchange of signs and it really does reflect where Venus is, much like it's in Taurus and Mars is in Aries. So this intensifies Mars especially with its relationship with Rahu.
Now thinking about this chart, what I do many times is I plug it into different countries charts. And that's what I've done when I've gone over looking at various countries and what's going on and their governments and for the year. But I happen to know that Taurus is the sixth house for the United States chart. And the sixth house can deal with attacks with enemies and struggles. It's tough when you look at these two planets. This can deal with some type of enemies or something out there that could attack the United States. And so many times it's not the kind of attacks that we're used to in the past. It's undercurrents of things going on that you cannot see. And that's what I see with this Mars especially exchanging signs with Venus because Mars becomes so much stronger. It's remarkable what's going to happen throughout the year, not just this month because this reflects the entire Year of struggles and things to look out for.
So the next thing I wanted to look at is Venus approaching planet Uranus in Aries. So they're in Aries. And as I said before, this position of Uranus in Aries represents new starts, new beginnings, new awakenings. It is the time of awakening right now. Don't forget that with Venus being coming towards Uranus now, it's also a time for possibly new love, romance, excitement in the, in this area. So if you're ready to meet someone, this would be the month or this would be the year. But looking at where Ketu is in Scorpio, you know, these are where the eclipses have been falling. And these eclipse points are huge in terms of what they're trying to tell us. And Scorpio being ruled by Mars reflects back to this issue of Mars being with Rahu in the sixth house of the United States chart. There's a lot to be on guard about for the U.S. let me just put it that way. Now, Saturn being in Capricorn, this chart.
Saturn in Capricorn does really well. It's all about rebuilding in the government after such a crisis of the coronavirus. This is what has to happen. And it is happening. Everything is changing for the better, even though we can't understand it. And Saturn being in the third house and I did this chart for Washington D.C. so this reflects something to the effect of the United States. Saturn being there represents the rebuilding of schools, education, classes, learning. And Saturn being in the third house can represent problems around communications and the media. Don't forget that it's really going to come under scrutiny. Things are going to change. So this is an amazing chart for change. And this new moon being in Pisces really reflects more than anything to the sign of Jupiter. And Jupiter, the fact that it has just shifted into a new sign represents how everything this month is changing dramatically in terms of finances, money, organization and, and how we help others that are in need during these crises periods. Because remember, Aquarius is all about humanity and it is the water bearer. The water bearer deals with the man who pours out the vase of water. But it's an air sign. Aquarius is air. So it deals with a pouring out of emotion in terms of healing. And the Nakshatras that Jupiter is due to transit through will bring major healings throughout this year concerning health and healing. But not only that, it really deals with a healing, with how we communicate, how we learn, how we process information, how we affect one another. This is all that this new moon is bringing about this month. This is going to be a month of incredible change.
The undercurrents are deep, the waters are deep here with Gandanta. The storms, the emotions, the feelings. But it's all going to get sorted out. It's all going to come under a healing. And this is going to create the re emergence and new birth of society.
That comes from a higher level of awareness. That's what I perceive coming out of this new moon relative to this month affecting the entire year to the next Pisces New moon.
