Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about the planet Mars as it's placed in your chart in the different houses. So one thing I do want to point out is everything that I'm discussing is in this book, which is astrology, the divine order of the universe. I wrote that book a long time ago and I actually feel like it's one of my favorites because it has everything. What the houses mean, what the planets mean, even the transit of planets through your houses or, or just the natal positions of planets in the houses. And here is my book for my university that you may be interested in if you're learning Vedic astrology, Eastern astrology for Western minds. And let me say we are about to start a whole new semester in January with the university. Check it out. It is amazing. Join our community of astrologers. You will learn and you will get support. Have live classes weekly, as well as 40 videos with tests. And you're also assigned a live tutor that will help you through the process and grade your test. So with that I'd like to give you the information about how Mars transit, how Mars is placed in your chart. It means so much. What is Mars? Mars is energy. Mars is this power that we have for courage for being direct. It is really. Mars is not only courage, but it's our ambition, it's our drive, it's what motivates us. I mean, even Mars rules blood. So it deals with your circulation and it is fiery, it is red. Mars is.
We all need the power of Mars to get up and have drive and inspiration every day, because Mars is that drive. Now, Mars can rule some pretty difficult things, such as things that deal with anger and rage. It deals with weapons, it deals with war.
In sports.
But it is that power that we have that gives us our get up and go every day. So when Mars is strong, you're going to be strong. And that can even go to if you have Mars in particular signs, such as Capricorn, such as Scorpio, such as Aries. Mars in these signs is incredibly powerful because it rules Scorpio in Aries and it's exalted in Capricorn. Now, if you have it in cancer, don't think that you're going to be devoid of energy and strength. It just means there's something you have to overcome when a planet is in its debilitation sign. And usually once you overcome it, it becomes your greatest asset. That's how debilitated planets work. Now let's Talk about Mars being in each of the houses. If you have Mars in the first house, you are going to be.
Always on the go. As a matter of fact, I find people that have Mars close to their ascendant, they have a problem with sitting still and even watching movies because they're constantly thinking about what they need to be doing. They want to get up and go, to sit down and sit through a movie bores them. They're always thinking about where they need to go, what they need to do. High energy. Sometimes Mars being in the first house, too, can represent that you're born quickly. Why do I say that? Because.
Mars or you're born with a C section, because the first house deals with our birth, how we enter in the world. Mars being there can cause you to enter way too fast or through with knives or cutting, that kind of thing. Now, one more thing. When I think about Mars being in the first house, many times people have a lot of head injuries because, you know, the first house is the head. I've seen Mars on the ascendant. Well, as a matter of fact, my youngest son has Mars in the first house. And he constantly instantly was hitting his head. He looked like a unicorn when he was little. That's Austin. Actually, some of you have met Austin, and he's in some of my videos. Another thing is Austin was born through a C section because Mars is in his first house. But also, people that have Mars in the first house are very athletic because Mars rules the muscles, believe it or not. So you have it in the first house. You're always.
Running, doing things, but you can be extremely athletic. And actually, my son Austin was my best athlete out of my three sons. So Mars being in the second house, this means Mars is fast and furious. The second house deals with what our speech. This can mean. People that talk a mile a minute, they're always communicating, always having something to say. Plus, Mars being there because the second house does deal with our money and our finances, this can be somebody that burns a hole through their pocket. They can't wait to spend and buy things. This is where their money, you know, comes and goes pretty quickly. Now, depending on if Mars is a benefic or a malefic for your chart, in other words, it can be a benefic based on the houses that it rules. If it rules houses 1, 5, and 9, it's a functional benefic, even though it's a natural malefic. That means that.
Actually.
With Mars being there, you can make a lot of money. But when it's A difficult planet. It means the money can slip away quite quickly. Mars is speed, let me put it that way. Mars has a lot to do with speed. And so also being there, being unnatural. But malefic, regardless of what house it rules, can cause some problems in early childhood if you have it in the second house. Second house deals with childhood experiences. Mars is a natural malefic and can cause problems around early childhood matters. And remember, because the second house does deal with the metabolism too, I forgot to mention that this can be somebody that has a great metabolism, digests their food really quick, and they have to eat all the time. So if you have Mars in the third house.
Well, the third house rules brothers and sisters. And that's one thing that I forgot to mention, what Mars rules in Vedic astrology. Siblings, brothers and sisters. So if you put the karaka for, for siblings in the third house, which is siblings, particularly specifically even younger, it causes problems. Yes, you will. No matter how well you get along with, with the sibling, there's going to be one that's going to really get under your skin at some point in your life and cause problems. This I promise you, with Mars being in the third house. Now also Mars in third house, you have a love of learning, love of travel, you'll go so many places throughout life. I actually used to know some airline pilots with Mars either in the ninth or in the third house, always traveling. So Mars also being in the third house deals with a love of information, constantly gathering and learning, and possibly even a teacher at some point in life. But beautiful writers and entertainers with Mars being in the third house.
So one more thing, the third house does deal with hearing and listening in the ears, and sometimes Mars here can cause ear problems. So be aware of that. Now, Mars being in the fourth house.
You may get along with your mother, but boy, do you butt heads at times. There's going to be things that you disagree with a lot and there's going to be problems around the home. But Mars in the fourth house can give fabulous real estate and a big home or possibly even inherit real estate from the family. But you will have. Mars is the Karaka of real estate in the fourth house. This will give great real estate. And Mars being in the fourth house. Yeah, you're gonna, you may have trouble with cars because fourth house rules cars. And Mars is a natural malefic. Okay, so if you have Mars in the fifth house, this gives an incredible intelligence. Yes, I find so many times the fifth house is natural intelligence. Mars being there really gives a intellectual capacity to Learn gives natural intelligence, which I call common sense. Something not that easy to come by these days. And what I also find is a great deal of creativity. As a matter of fact, people with Mars in the fifth house can be engineers because they want to understand how things operate, how things work. They want to, and they have the capacity to learn these things. And usually not always, depending on the sign it's in. But usually they can be good with numbers. Okay. And Mars in the fifth house can cause some problems with children. So be aware of that. Maybe, you know, conflict or disagreements with children. And sometimes it can. If there's more than one malefic aspect in the fifth house, three or more could block having children.
So if Mars is in the sixth house, then you are going to be. You have a very strong immune system and capability to get well. Now, it doesn't prevent you from getting sick with Mars in the sixth house, but it gives you a great strength to your constitution. And when you get sick, you get well really fast. Probably your body kicks in, you have a fever that burns the disease right out, and you get well. Now, Mars in the sixth house can also mean you could have some problems with employees or co workers. There sometimes is some conflict that goes on in the workplace with Mars being there. Also, it will cause some problems with your digestion in the sixth house. The sixth house does deal with how you digest your food. Your absorption with food and food may just run right through you and you don't absorb all the vitamin content in the food. And be careful with pets. You could have problem that could be a problem area. Have problems where pets cause you more problems than they're worth sometimes. Okay, so if you have Mars and also one more thing, Mars in the sixth house could mean that you go into a field of medicine or healing. Yes, either Mars in the 6th or the 12th house can deal with medicine and healing. If you have Mars in the seventh house, this is called kuja dosha. Kuja dosha means when Mars aspects the seventh house. And this causes problems in what? Marriage. So let's go over the houses that actually have kujidosha. It would be the first house. If Mars is in the first, it's aspecting the seventh. If Mars is in the fourth house, it's aspecting the seventh by its fourth aspect. And if you have Mars in the seventh house, it's there to cause problems in relationships and marriage. Right. But also Mars in the 12th house with Mars special aspects. Mars aspects by eight placements from itself. And so if you put Mars in the 12th.
By its eighth aspect, it's also aspecting the seventh house. So Mars in the 12th, the first, the fourth or the seventh.
And did I say first? Yes, those are going to be Kuchadosha. So Mars in the seventh house will cause some discord in marriage and relationships. This also goes towards business partners. It just seems like you always attract some very combative people that want to argue or.
Cause your anger and your blood pressure to rise, let me put it that way. So doesn't mean though that you can't overcome these obstacles, but it does mean that this is a lesson that you're here to learn in this lifetime time to learn how to come to a place of peace and balance in relationships, because many lifetimes you've attracted very difficult ones that have taught you to learn this lesson. So Mars being in the eighth house, this will cause some deep psychological interest and even into metaphysics. But Mars in the eighth house can be very, very difficult because it can deal with a sense of just.
Discord, deep psychologically, and usually this affects you from past experiences. Mars in the eighth house can cause bring out secrets and scandals, and many times it can even deal with some deep issues of disgrace and humiliation because this is a house of scandal, scandals. And Mars being here, let me just say this, you're going to learn some great lessons and through this eliminate enormous amounts of karma. So in essence, that's what it will do. And another thing Mars in the eighth house will do, you're incredibly scientifically minded. Einstein has Mars exalted in Capricorn with Rahu in his eighth house. This is like you're always digging to the core, in the bottom, in the depths of things to get answers. And you'll find it just like Einstein. So if you have Mars in the ninth house, there'll be a little contention or difficulty possibly with your father, but your father will be bigger than life, always on the go and very ambitious and driven. Could even be in the military, a policeman or fireman, something along those lines.
Mars in the ninth house will give a love of travel. You will travel the world extensively and you're constantly learning. You have an aptitude to learn and possibly become a teacher yourself. So Mars is in the 10th house. This is extraordinary. Mars really prosperity, beautifully in the 10th house, giving success in work and career. You will be always motivated to work hard to be successful. Ambition and drive. You should probably think about having your own business because you are so much more driven than others in this area.
But another thing is, you could have a boss that that's really hard to get along with. So that may direct you into having your own business as well. So Mars in the 11th House can mean you're attracted to all sorts of groups and organizations and have a lot of.
Really difficult friends at times. You know, you'll have some good friends for sure. But Mars being in the 11th house, you'll have friends that are jealous of you. Mars can deal with this ambition and drive and jealousy that when you're success, people have a hard time being happy for you. And look for that, that can be an issue or a problem.
And Mars being ruler of siblings, this is the house of the eldest sibling. And this could mean that you have contention or problems getting along with your oldest sibling. Okay, now also Mars in the eighth house, I mean, in the 11th house is the eighth house from the fourth. And this could cause a lot of emotional or psychological problems that your mother had. Now, Mars being in the 12th house, remember the 12th house deals with secret enemies. What does that mean? Well, you could, you, you have the potential to have thieves come around. So make sure you always take care to be secure and safe. Don't be going out in dark places late at night, not with Mars in the 12th house. But be careful of backstabbing co workers. Yes, I have seen Mars in the 12th house and I've seen so many clients that say, you know, when I tell them about backstabbing jealous people around the workplace, they always agree with me that they've gone through some kind of terrible situation with a co worker, somebody at work that talks behind their back. And you know, all you can do is realize they're jealous and leave it alone. Don't, don't promote it in any way because it could get worse. But Mars also being in the 12th house can disturb your sleep. Wake up all night, can't sleep, rest, restful, he can't get to sleep, can't stay asleep. Sometimes you have nightmares. That's Mars in the 12th house. But there's something about the past remembrances that if you can uncover what it is even from a past life, then you can begin to sleep much more restfully. So Mars being in the 12th house can bring, can be that you have problems even with meditation because you just can't still the mind or you're always anxious or there's something burning and turning within the mind. So that's Mars in the 12th house. And possibly with Mars in the 12th house, you're a doctor or a nurse. You may work in a hospital to help people because there's this quest to always help others. So that covers Mars through all 12 of the houses. I hope you gleaned some new insights about yourself and about others. Remember to go to my website and and look where I have my new jewelry line which is galactic center.org and definitely check out my online university. I hope that you'll become a student in January with the rest of us. So thank you for listening and I will see you later.
