Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Today I want to talk about the sign Sagittarius. And for those of you that have Sagittarius as your ascendant, with Sagittarius, it is a mutable fire sign, which fire means inspirational, very action oriented, but mutable means changeable or adaptable. And I have seen that this sign has a way of changing their mind, changing their opinions, and being quite adamant about their beliefs. So I think that would be probably called opinionated. And many times they can blurt out things without speaking. So looking at that, Jupiter is the planet that rules the Ascendant. And Jupiter also rules the fourth house. And the fourth house deals with home and family. So the fact that Jupiter rules both the first, which is who they are, and the fourth means that home and family is very important to the sign SAG. And it has way of always being close to home, mother, nurturing and just family. Celebrations and events are extremely important. Many times they will live close to the mother and care for the mother.
Saturn rules the second and the third house. So Saturn is not a very good planet for this Chart the second house. Whenever Saturn rules it, they can be frugal with their money and not be so over the top. But they tend to like to save money in very specific ways, but spend money in others. So I've known many people with this ascendant to be very frugal, maybe do coupons or go to certain stores for sales, but they can spend money on lottery tickets, such a thing as that. So there is this dispersion of how they spend their money. It's very different and very unique.
So Mars rules the 5th and Mars rules the 12th. By the fact that Mars rules the 5th House makes Sagittarius a very intelligent sign. Mars rulership. The fifth house, meaning the house of intelligence, the house of deep thinking. And when it rules the 12th, then this deals with this deep prodding thinking. And many times a lot of their opinions can be based on issues and things of the past. And therefore it makes them very good with history. They love to study history and things of the past. But with Mars ruling the fifth house and the 12th, there could be some complications or problems concerning children. But overall, Mars will be a very good planet for Sagittarius Ascendant because it rules the fifth house.
Venus rules the sixth, and Venus rules the 11th. And remember, planets that rule this 11th house can sometimes create problems for this ascendant. And the fact that it rules the sixth house. Venus is all about Health and diet and nutrition. And so is the 11th house, because it is the 6th house from the 6th house. So Venus has a lot to do with health and healing. And many times the 11th house is looked upon as the house of the ultimate healing because it's a six from the six, so it's the health of the health.
So Venus, because it is a benefic and it is not a good planet for this chart by the fact that it rules the 11th and the 6th, Venus can cause problems with health, and many times it could be over the top things that are in excess. And Venus does represent many times sugars or sweets. So it could be overeating with things that are too sweet or causing problems with sugar, the digestion around sugar.
And because the 11th House does deal with our friends, when we look at the ruler of the six, meaning enemies, many times friends can become enemies. And many times this can deal with.
Difficult friendships. Friends that don't own up to their responsibility in a relationship, and friends that come off very sweet and kind, but in the end you realize they're not as they appear because Venus is this planet of sweetness.
Now Mercury rules the 7th and Mercury rules the 10th. So careers that are around something to do with sales. Mercury is communications, so they can deal with sales, communications.
Maybe even a Mercury type job that deals with travel or can deal with the, the Internet, anything to do with advertising, communications, getting the word out there. And they are most likely to work with business partners because the seventh house is a business partner and the 10th house is the career. And furthermore, it can mean that they can work with their spouse, so they could work with their marriage partner, or they could meet their spouse through their job. So you'll see that the marriage and relationship are intertwined with the career and the profession.
The Moon rules the eighth house. And even though the eighth house is the most difficult house, it's a destana. The moon rulership of the 8th does not take on a truly bad quality for Sagittarius, because the Moon is part of the planetary camp that Sagittarius is about. Remember, the planetary camp are the planets that are friends with each other. And the planets that are friends with each other will always be ruling the triconal houses 1, 5 and 9. So the four Sagittarius ascendants, Jupiter, Mars and the sun are the best planets. But the Moon is part of that camp. So by the fact that it rules the eighth house, it's still not going to be a terrible planet for the sign. It's friendly, but the Moon represents change in fluctuations and many times when it rules the eighth house. The eighth house means money that comes to you through other people, which can be relative to inheritances or even the spouse's money to. This means that there's this fluctuation of how this money comes in and goes out.
The sun by its rulership of the ninth house. This is the Father, this is teachings, this is higher education. And the sun shines. And these are areas that are. That are bright and shining in this individual's life. So they have deep respect for. For their Father. The Father has great authority and has done probably some great things in life. The sun shines, and the sun is a leadership planet. So the Father's a leader. Plus they may find that they have teachers that truly inspire them, that lead them into professions that they are passionate about, driven with.
And because the sun is ruler of the ninth house, which is our spiritual truth, this can involve attracting some very powerful spiritual leaders as well as higher education are very much a part of their life. They are attuned to studies and travel and travel to some very interesting and powerful places, maybe even places where you go on spiritual pilgrimages to find who you really are and your answers.
So that pretty much covers all of the planets and their rulerships for the sign of Sagittarius. And one thing I want to go back to when I was mentioning that Sagittarius can be such an opinionated sign that can blurt out what they. What they are thinking. And this can deal with the difficulty of speech, because Saturn rules the second, which is our speech, and the third, which is our way of communicating. And they somehow need to work on their ways of communicating with other people so that it's not so rigid and harsh. So. So Sagittarius, being the mutable fire sign that it is, can be very progressive, can be very inspirational and very, very changeable. But this is a sign that can deal with spirituality because most of all, it's ruled by Jupiter relative to the. It is the ninth sign, which is relative to the ninth house, which deals with their spirituality, their search for the truth, and getting to the bottom to find their answers. So, once again, the positive planets for Sagittarius are Jupiter, Mars and the Sun. And probably the most difficult would be Venus by the fact that it rules the 6th and the 11th, and Saturn by the fact that it rules the 2nd and the 3rd, and Mercury, because it rules two angles aside from the ascendant, the 7th and the 10th. It does lose power. It does go down in strength. Remember that when a benefic rules two angles, aside from the ascendant, it loses its power to do good. So, with that, I'd like to close.
