Scheat: Star of Talent and Sorrow

A short YouTube lecture by astrologer Joni Patry about the fixed star Scheat (spelled S-C-H-E-A-T). Patry explains how to locate Scheat in natal charts (tropical: 28–29° Pisces; sidereal/Vedic: ~5° Pisces), notes that a March 20 birth places the Sun conjunct Scheat, and emphasizes Scheat’s traditional associations with sorrow, catastrophic loss, and severe events — citing a solar eclipse conjunct Scheat on September 22, 1968 and contemporaneous floods, riots, and storms as examples.

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Today I'd like to talk about the fixed star sheet. And sheet is spelled S C H E E A T And this is in the shoulder of Pegasus in the heavens. And if you would like to find out where she is in your chart, you would look in the tropical western astrology zodiac. You'll be looking at 28, 29 degrees of Pisces. But if you're looking in the sidereal Vedic chart, which you can find your placements by the way on my website with the free chart calculator@g Galactic center.org the degrees for the sidereal zodiac used in Vedic astrology is 5 degrees of Pisces.
And if you are born on March 20, you have sheet conjunct the sun. And let me tell you about what this fixed star is truly about.
Many years ago when we studied the fixed stars and we had to memorize them for test. Yes, we used to do.
Certification exams and we had to study and memorize all the fixed stars. Well, this one is so treacherous. It deals with sorrow, it deals with loss, it deals with suffering that we, to help us remember this fixed star, we associated it with the word that sounds like it S H I T. So I don't want to say it, but that is pretty much how we could memorize the stars. And because this one deals with extreme losses and losses that are catastrophic, it was around September 22, 1968 that a solar eclipse was conjunct sheet and that that year was catastrophic in many, many places. And the result was terrible because there were floods in Germany that year, riots in Mexico. There were terrible things going on in Turkey as well as storms in Switzerland. And Turkey had the severe weather as well. So you see, this will bring out great difficulty.
And if I might say, some famous people that have this. Well, one is one of my favorites. George Harrison has Venus conjunct sheet. So you see, this is. This can deal with not only suffering, but when you have a benefic with these fixed stars, generally it can bring out the good of what the fixed star is about, which is incredible talent, musical ability. And generally throughout the sign of Pisces, you're going to find these great qualities of the stars come out. Pisces can deal with endings. But don't forget Venus, which is where George Harrison has his Venus in Pisces is exalted. So there's incredible talent. So there you go. Jayne Mansfield, who died, who had a terrible death. She was in a car accident and was decapitated she had Mercury conjunct. She. And, you know, so many people can have extreme losses with this. And there's mass murderers and people that throughout history have had this fixed star prevalent on their ascendant. So be aware now, the Nakshatra that she is within is Uttara Bhadrapada. And Uttara Bhadrapada means the serpent of the deep, and deals with depth, deals with people that need to get to the bottom of things and want to understand the deeper essences of life. So it is very profound, mystical. And I want to say that people that have planets in this Nakshatra have magical powers. They are intuitive, they are psychic, they are insightful, where they know things. They know things. And this comes from so many lifetimes of spiritual development. So this is a really deep, deep Nakshatra as well as I want to just make mention that it is noted that when benefics conjunct this fixed star sheet, that it can denote literary poetic ability, as it did with George Harrison. So all these fixed stars may have some very, very difficult connotations. But remember, generally, as a whole, when malefics conjunct them, they bring out the negative, but when benefics conjunct them, they can bring out the positive. So she is a very difficult, difficult fixed star. And I use it specifically in predictions such as when eclipses are conjoining this star or when malefics may come together, cross over this star. Difficult things can be happening on planet Earth. If you would like more information about me, you can go to my website, which is GalacticCenter.org or if you would like to learn Vedic astrology, I have a university, universityofvedicastrology.com and transcripts of these fixed stars can be read in my magazine, which is astrologicmagazine.com thank you.
