Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I'm going to talk about the houses and how powerful they are in Vedic astrology, how you're going to derive meanings that you knew before that are going to make your look at astrology much richer and deeper. So I wanted to start today with the seventh house. But before I do, I wanted to point out that everything I'm referring to is from this book. It's one of my favorite books that I've written. It's called the Divine Order of the Universe. It's about houses and how they relate to one another. The Bavapa, Ba bam, the derivative house system, the signs and planets. It's all about numbers. Remember, all of this is mathematical. This is a science. So when I talk about the seventh house, it is a comma house. And in Vedic astrology, the kama houses are actually the houses of desire. Now, how can you say the seventh house is the house of desire? Well, well, let me explain. There's three comma houses and they are relative to the elements, so the signs. So let's start with. Let's start with the first comma house, which. The first comma house is house three. The next comma house is seven, and the third comma house is 11. So they are relative to what? The air signs. Because if you consider the third sign is Gemini, it's Air relative to the third house. The seventh sign is Libra, which is relative to the seventh house. The 11th sign is Aquarius, which is relative to the 11th house. So their meanings are interchanged. So what are air signs all about? Communications. And therefore, I think, comma, when it deals with our desire, it's our desire to connect to other people. Because there is nothing more powerful than the need to connect to other people.
Cell phones wouldn't be so popular right now, nor would all the social media avenues. Because we need as human beings to connect to others. This is our desire. And if you consider the third house, the third house is our connection to our siblings. The seventh house is our connection to our marriage partner or business partner partners in general that we have agreements with. And the 11th House is our friends. So you see, this is all how we connect to other people. This is our ultimate desire in life, to be connected with others, to communicate. So the seventh house is the house that deals with relationships, serious relationships or marriage. It's basically the house that deals with wherever we have contractual agreements with others. So if we have a contractual agreement with someone, then.
It'S a marriage license. Or if we have a business partnership with someone, it's a contractual agreement.
So many people wonder, how does a business partnership relate to a love relationship? Well, let me explain the variance with that. Remember when I said ba ba ba bomb means from house to house, but it means when you replicate or repeat the same number twice. So in other words, if you go to the third house, the third house is the third is three placements from the ascendant and then you repeat the number three again. So from the third, third, fourth, fifth, the fifth house is the third from the third, the fifth house has meanings relative to the third house. So likewise, if you go from.
The fifth house and you count five placements from the fifth house, five, six, seven, eight, nine. The ninth house is the fifth from the fifth, and it deals with your children's children. Remember, the fifth house is children. So the ninth house is our grandchildren. So you see, it's going to have relevance to what the house number is that's repeated from the original house. So the reason why I'm going over that this so much with you is. And don't think it's hard, just count on your fingers, always starting with the house you're beginning with as number one. You don't go to the next house and go one, you count that house as one. So starting with, let's go with the seventh house. The seventh house happens to be the fourth house from the fourth house. So starting from the fourth house, 4, 5, 6, 7. So in Baba Ba Bam, it is the fourth from the fourth, the seventh house. And the seventh house represents our mother. Remember, the fourth house is the mother. Correct. So our mother's mother, which is the grandmother. And I'll never forget when I was looking at Barack Obama's chart right before the elections and I saw Ketu crossing over his son in the seventh house. And I wondered, what on earth does this mean? Does that mean something's going to happen to his wife? Because that's all we think about with the seventh house or his running mate. Something going to happen.
A few days, I think before the election or right after, I think was right. Right after the election, few days, his grandmother died. Ketu was crossing over his son in the seventh house. This was the woman that raised him. This was huge. This was a huge loss.
So you see, the Baba' vam wouldn't have if you hadn't followed the Baba'. Pavam. You couldn't have seen this specific detail of how these houses work.
So if it is your grandmother, let's repeat the 10th house. So if you go from the 10th house to the 10th house, 10, 11, 12, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th. The 7th house is the 10th from the 10th. That's why it deals with business partners and business as well.
So this is a very powerful house. Remember, it's a Kendra. It's an angular house. I find so many times when people have a lot, a lot of planets in the seventh house, they can be in control of telling a lot of people what to do. They have a lot of associates that do their work for them. That's the seventh house. But most of all, the seventh house is known for relationships. Love relationships, but it's serious. Whereas the fifth house can deal with dating, the seventh house deals with love. Serious love relationships. So if you've been with somebody for a very long time, even though you're not married, this can be the seventh house. So I love the seventh house because it deals with listening in terms of communications. And this is how we have to learn how to make relationships work. And I find it so interesting that the symbol for Libra, actually it's the half. It looks like the line with the half moon going over it. And what does that mean? That means the sun sets on the horizon in the seventh house. Because if you have a sun around the seventh house, you're born at sunset. And we lose ourselves into others as in a relationship that is us going towards uniting with someone else. So you see, astrology has these deep meanings with the houses as well as so much that has to do with.
The progress of our life as we're born into life with the first house. Halfway through, we come to marriage and relationship with others as we come to the 12th house, which is endings. So you see, this is a powerful, powerful house that when you have planets here, they are incredibly strengthened. Do not forget, it's a Kendra. It's an angle. And planets that rule this house will bring in great power and power through others and yourself in the way that you relate. So never forget all of the attributes of the seventh love, business relationships, contractual agreements.
