Hi, I'm Joni Petrie, and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about a house from my series of houses that is going to give you such rich and deep meaning. You never ever look at this chart, at this house, the same. And that is the fifth house. The fifth house, I have to. I have to say it is my favorite house. But the fifth house is the house that is called the house of Puvapunya, which means past life, good karma that's due in this lifetime. And what I think that really does equate to is talent. So we're going to be talking about the fifth house. Before we dig into this always, I want to remind everybody everything is in this book. It is one of my favorite books I've written called Astrology, the Divine Order of the Universe. And it really takes the houses in order from house to house.
All of the things that the houses represent as they relate to one another. This is the order of numbers, mathematical. And this is what astrology's about. So moving on. Remember one, one more thing. What can we learn about this incredibly fabulous house? Well, just remember this. The fifth house does relate to Leo, because the fifth sign is Leo. That's probably where the fifth house gets its qualities of creativity. This is the house of creativity. But I always say it derives its creative meanings because it is the third from the third. So going to the third house count third, fourth, fifth. The fifth house is the third from the third. So it takes on all the meanings of what the third house is about, which is creative, which is using the hands, which is actually. Did you know? The third house is writing, but the fifth house is writing books. We call it the house of authorship. So the third house may be writing articles in your ability to write, but the third house is how many books are you going to write? That's the fifth house. I love that. So the fifth house is also, of course, anything we create, which of course is children.
And this is one of the greatest blessings. The fifth house can provide us the gift of children, something that lives on beyond us. That's actually the things that we create, whether it's artwork, whether it's any creation that lives beyond us, including our children.
But because it deals with creativity, it Deals with all of the arts. It can deal with theater performances. It deals with even sports, athletes. This is the house of sports. And it's also the house that deals with love. Did you know? It's the house of courtship, when you fall in love and meet people. The seventh house is marriage. But the fifth house is the house that deals with meeting, falling in love, opening the heart. Remember when I talked about the fourth house, I said that deals with the heart as well. Well, the fifth house deals with the heart.
And in terms of the fourth, with the fifth, well, I think because the moon receives the light from the sun, the fourth house deals more with receiving love. Whereas the fifth house, because it's rel. Relative to Leo, remember cancer. The moon is the fourth. The moon receives the light. The fifth house puts out the light because it's relative to the fifth sign, Leo ruled by the sun. So that's giving love.
And it is. It's the house, believe it or not. It's a house of fun, entertainment, going to the movies, going to the sporting events, dating, courtship, all these fun things. But one other derivative that it can deal with is those that give advice to other people.
That's probably why it is the house of astrology. The fifth house was determined by the ancient astrologers as those that gave advisors to the kings. That was astrologers. It still is today, really, but not everywhere. But the fifth house does deal with all of these attributes and creativity and talent. Because if it's some good karma that we've received from a past life, I always look at the fifth house as every planet there represents a specific talent. And it can't even represent specific different children we have. It's an incredibly powerful and wonderful house because it gives the ability of self expression, putting yourself out there.
And loving it. It's a beautiful, fun house. And probably one of the things I love most about it is it does rule astrology.
And because it is advisors, and therefore because it does deal with advisors, it also deals with the stock market trading advisorship in that manner. So it is a house that. That does deal with money and wealth because it is a Dharma house. Remember we were talking about the Artha houses, the kama houses, and this is a Dharma house. So Dharma means our purpose, our fire. Because when you think about the Dharma houses, which are 1, 5 and 9, these are the blessed houses of the chart in Vedic astrology. And the planets that rule these Dharma houses are the positive planets for a chart. They just are.
So whatever planets rule your houses 1, 5 and 9 will always be, in the scheme of things, friends to one another. They're from the same planetary camp. So if you have a Gemini ascendant, then Mercury rules your first, and Venus rules your fifth. And Saturn rules the ninth. These are all friends in the scheme of friends. And Venus is the leader of its planetary camp. Jupiter is the other camp. Don't worry if you don't get this right now, but I just want you to know. These are called the triconal houses. They are the most blessed houses of the chart. Wherever the planets that rule these charts reside are going to bring blessings to wherever they go in your horoscope. So if the ruler of the fifth goes to the ninth, then it gives blessings to ninth house. You see? So that's how this works. If the ruler of the ninth goes to the fifth, likewise, these are two very blessed houses. And when you connect them together, it's very auspicious and it's very lucky and blessed. So the fifth house deals with so many things that it's hard to remember. But one thing I do want you to remember about it, it is the third from the third. Therefore, it deals with authorship and writing.
It's actually the ninth from the ninth, which can actually deal with your father's father, your grandfather, in other words, on your father's side. So go to the ninth house. 9, 10, 11, 12, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. It is the ninth from the ninth. And what does that mean? Well, this is ultimate spirituality. And many times the fifth house is referred to as the house of mantra, work and healing. And that level.
Working with vibration, sound and healing. It is a very, very spiritual house. And planets here will represent someone's gifts, their talents and their abilities. And that is something you must always remember and their ability. I forgot to mention one of the most important things. It is also the house of intelligence. And when I say that, I mean natural intelligence. I don't mean the degrees, if you've gotten, whether you're master's or a doctorate. I mean people that are just naturally smart, in other words, street smarts, or just common sense. That doesn't come easy. Believe it or not, believe it or not, for those of us that we think we have common sense, it's not that common.
People with planets in the fifth house love to understand how things work, the mechanics behind things. So if you put Mars in the fifth house, you have a very mechanical mind. And it represents a high degree of intelligence. And many times they like mathematical stuff, stuff if not particularly math. They want to understand how things work, so they've got this mind that has a natural propensity towards being very, very intelligent. And you don't have to tell them what to do, they just figure it out. That's what I call natural intelligence. So I think I've covered just many things that this beautiful house can entail.
