Vipareeta Raja Yoga Reversal of Fortune: Bill Gates & Edgar Cayce

A short instructional talk by Joni Patry explaining Vipareeta (Viparit) Raja Yoga in Vedic astrology: the idea that planets ruling the difficult "Destana" houses (6, 8, 12) placed into any of those same houses can reverse suffering into gain. She defines the three Destana houses, names three special cases (Harsha — ruler of 6 in 6; Asarala — ruler of 8 in 8; Vimala — ruler of 12 in 12), and demonstrates the concept using Bill Gates' chart (Chandra Lagna example) and Edgar Cayce's chart (Ascendant example). The talk emphasizes that such placements often produce positive results later in life.

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie, and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about an amazing concept that's sort of like reversals. And it's actually a concept that's pretty hard to understand because it's a reversal of what you think it's supposed to be about. And this yoga is called the Viparit Raj Yoga. And what viparite actually kind of equates to is reversal. It's like it's. It's. And I think in essence, it might be.
That two negatives equal a positive. Maybe that's the idea behind it. But one way or another, here's what I do want you to know. This works, and it throws a curve ball in a chart reading because you think something's going to be so bad, but it turns out to be something good. And actually what I feel like the Vipri Raj yoga is about, about difficult things that actually turn out as something good. How many times have you known that the most difficult thing in your life has become the most positive? That's kind of the idea behind this. But let me give you the rules, and then I'll show some examples that will really drive home what this belief or what this yoga is all about. And what the issue or what the. The ruling here is that when a ruler of a Destana house goes to a Destana house. What are the Destana Houses? The Destana Houses are the most difficult houses of all. And they deal with suffering, pretty much suffering, scandals, problems. I mean, they're tough. They're the houses of loss and suffering. So what houses are. Are the Dastana houses. There's only three, and these houses are houses 6, 8, and 12. You know, the sixth house deals with enemies and problems and setbacks and struggles. But it is an Upachaya house, which means over time, things improve and get better in your life. But it's still. It's definitely deals with obstacles and enemies, and it's a Destana. The eighth house can deal with scandals and addictions and loss and death. It's a very difficult house, and that's the eighth house. The other Destana house, being the 12th house, deals with losses, endings. Of course, there are good meanings to these three houses, but I just want you to get the idea that these are the most difficult houses in a chart. We all have these houses in our chart and in our life. And we all have different planets that rule the Destana houses.
So I'm talking about what planet rules these houses. And remember, the planet that rules the house is If a house, whatever sign is on each and every house, that's the planet that rules that house. Such as if the sixth house has Aries.
On that house, then Mars, which rules Aries, is the house ruler. So with that little bit of information behind us, let's talk about three very specific Viparite Raj yogas that I find are truly amazing. When you find these in a chart and, and they are. The first one is when you have the ruler of the sixth house in the sixth house. So it would be like if you had Mars in the sixth house and it was in Aries, it would be the ruler of the six and the six. And this is actually called a Harsha Yoga. So what that does is it reverses things. Whereas maybe you're in an accident, six house does rule accidents, but maybe you get a million dollars out of it. It's like something reverses something, becomes good out of it. That's the ruler of the six and the six. But remember the Vipart Raj yogas can be any combination of the ruler in the 6 and the 8th, the ruler of the 12th and the 8th, the Ruler of the 6 in the 12th, any combination of the ruler, ruling planet of houses 6, 8 and 12 going to any combination of the houses 6, 8 and 12. But the ones that are like the ruler of that house in that house have a special name and of course it makes it more prominent. So somebody with the Harsha Yoga, ruler of the six and the six will probably experience good health after maybe some kind of thing that made you pay attention to your health, but you become healthy and strong because the sixth house does deal with your health. Now the next one is when you have the ruler of the 8th and the 8th. And this is actually called Asarala Yoga. And Asarala Yoga is all about the eighth house. So ruler of the eighth and the eighth. Let's say you have Saturn in.
Capricorn in the eighth house, you would have the ruler of the eighth house in the eighth house, Saturn. So the last one is called a Vimala yoga. And Vimala is when you have the ruler of the 12th and the 12th. And that makes it, you know, powerful for what 12th house matters in a good positive way. Maybe, you know, through retirement, things come to you, maybe through foreign places, you know, there's great gains, but it's like it accentuates and makes this reverses it and becomes something good. So with that I thought I might show you two chart examples that prove the point of the Viprit Raj Yoga, which is you Know something you wouldn't expect. And the first chart that I want to put up.
Is going to give you the Viprit Raj Yoga from the moon, Chandra Lagna. Now remember, we can look at this Vip Reet Raj Yoga from both the Ascendant or from the moon from Chandra Chandra Lagna. And I wanted to give you two very different examples of one from the Ascendant and one from the moon. So we're going to be looking at a chart from Chandra Lagna. Now the first chart I want to put up is the chart of Bill Gates. Imagine Bill Gates, he has the Vipri Raj Yoga from the moon. So going to where his moon is and looking, making that the new ascendant. His moon is in Pisces. Of course you can see from his ascendant it's in the 10th house. But looking at his moon in Pisces, make Pisces the first house. Now let's go to the sixth house from the moon. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. That there we arrive at Leo.
That's six from the moon you can see Leo is there. Of course Jupiter's there. But I'm not talking about Jupiter. I'm talking about the ruler of the sixth house from the moon. What rules Leo? The sun. Where does the sun reside? Remember we're talking about from the moon. The sun resides in the eighth house from the moon. See count from the moon. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 7, 8. There you have the sun, ruler of the six in the eighth. So next let's go to the eighth house. And there in the eighth house we have Libra. Eighth from the moon is Libra. And Venus is there. And Venus is in Libra. So what do we have now? We have Venus in Libra. We ruler of the 8th in the 8th, which is what Sarala Yoga, the one we just talked about. And hey, does this guy have money? Money through other people. This is what the eighth house is all about. Big money. This is Bill Gates chart. So from there let's go to the 12th house which is Aquarius. 12 from the moon is Aquarius. And Aquarius in Vedic astrology, using the old rulerships. Remember the old rulerships are where Mars rules Scorpio, Jupiter rules Pisces and Saturn rules Aquarius. So we're looking for Saturn since it rules Aquarius. What house does Saturn go to from the moon? The eighth house. So here we go. All of the Dastana houses, their rulers go to a Dastana house. So he's got the Vipri Raj Yoga from all of the Dastana houses. Now remember, you don't have to have them from all of them for this yoga to be able to work. You just have to have some of these because that's the reversal when a Dastana goes to a Dastana. Okay, so I think you got my point. This is not a terrible bad thing. The fact that Bill Gates has the planets that are ruler rulers of the Destanas in a destana.
Okay, Another chart I want to put up. This is one we've looked at quite often lately. But he has the Vipri Raj yogas from the Ascendant. And this chart is the chart of Edgar Cayce.
Now looking at Edgar Cayce's chart, let's go to the sixth house. And when we go to the sixth house, we're looking at what? Sagittarius. Remember in this chart we're going to the Ascendant. So what rules Sagittarius? Jupiter. So here we have Jupiter, ruler of the sixth in the six, which is what The Harsha Yoga. Edgar Cayce did not have a good start out in life. It was very difficult. He had a lot of financial problems and a lot of struggles. But hey, towards the end he became one of the greatest seers and psychics of all time.
Very successful. Was able to open up.
The are center which is in Virginia beach through all of his metaphysical works. So you can see that things turned out okay. And he has the Harsha Yoga which is the ruler of the 6 and the 6 Jupiter going from the ascendant. So now let's go onward to the eighth house. And here in the eighth house we have what? Aquarius. And what rules Aquarius? Saturn. So we have the ruler of the eighth in the eighth house which is what? Sarala Yoga, ruler of the eighth and the eighth. And guess what the eighth house is about. Psychic ability. Was this man psychic? Oh my God. He was like one of the most prolific psychics of the 20th century. And that's what this gave him.
Now last but not least, let's go to the 12th house. And his 12th house is Gemini, which is ruled by Mercury. So when you go to the ruler of the 12th Mercury, it also resides in a Destana house. The eighth house. So this completes that he has all of the Destana house rulers in a Destana house. In this case, Mercury is ruler of the 12th and the 8th. So what happens with that? The things that you feel like are a really bad thing turn out to be something very positive and give gains, especially in the second part of life or as life progresses. So I hope you've learned something and from that I'd like to close.
