This is a transcript of a video walkthrough demonstrating a CFO-focused business dashboard provided in a DataSelf Analytics trial. The narrator explains dashboard layout (left: lead metrics forecasting future transactions; right: lag metrics showing past performance), drilling into details (inventory by product, AR aging by customer, website visits by state), and a 60-day cash flow projection with an interactive what‑if scenario excluding a disputed receivable. The video emphasizes quick insight and easy drill-down to take action.

This dashboard was designed by the CFO of one of our clients. The CFO receives this dashboard by email early every morning. The left side of the dashboard shows lead metrics, metrics that are looking into future transactions such as cash flow projection in orders to ship. The right side has lag metrics, metrics that look at the past performance of the business. From this top level dashboard, the CFO can drill down into more details to understand the underlying trends and then take action. For instance, the this red bar here means inventory on hand is too high. Clicking this bar drills into inventory by business unit cost on hand by the top 10 products in warehouses where the top items are. Let's go back to the main tab. Look, the 60 days late AR aging is quite big. Let's see which clients are getting late. Let's click on this bar. Here they are. And here are all the past two invoices, both sorted in a descending order by balance due. Selecting a customer will narrow down to their late invoices here. Back again to the main tab. Let's see how our website visits are doing on the east side of the country. Let's drill to website visit details. Nice. Dark blue means more visits. So there are states with major growth since last year. Let's go back to the main tab again. Finally, let's take a look at the cash flow projection. Here is the inbound money from receivables. Here's the outbound money for payables and payroll. And then how much cash on hand is available today. By adding all of these metrics, we get the cash flow projection for the next 60 days as long as the minimum. The minimum projection doesn't cross the line of credit. The CFO doesn't have to worry about cash flow. Now let's play a what if scenario where a client disputes a receivables invoice like this one here. Let me remove it. Let me exclude it from the from the projection. Well, without their receivables, the line of credit won't be able to cover our cash needs and will have a problem. You see, the cash flow projection is beyond the line of credit. Clicking undo and Redo here shows the change in the projection chart. As shown here. Dashboards should inform key trends at a glance and allow users to easily, easily drill into details, understand the underlying trends and then take action.
