Although you can't undo a missed shipment, the faster you know about them and the faster you respond to them can spell the difference between a positive and negative customer experience. This Missed Shipments dashboard is pre configured to look at shipments due to go out yesterday but failed to do so. If you wish to see all missed shipments or those that were scheduled to ship this week, last week, or over the past 30 days, you could easily modify this dashboard or create additional ones as needed. This report is one where speed really matters. The sooner you're able to reach out to clients, inform them of a delayed shipment, and take appropriate actions such as expediting their shipment, the better this news will be received. And that's where the option to automate the generation and delivery of this report really comes in handy. We can click on Watch at the bottom of the window to create subscriptions. A subscription lets you have the contents of this dashboard automatically emailed to one or more recipients on a periodic basis, such as every morning at 9, every Friday at 5, or the first day of every month. Note the checkbox titled Don't Send if View is empty. This is a small but important aspect of subscriptions. As long as this dashboard contains data, it will be sent out to its subscribers. If the dashboard is empty, however, no email will go out as no one likes to receive an empty report. Note also that although this dashboard contains information like sales order number, customer name and items ordered, you can easily add fields to it such as additional order details or the client's phone number. All the information you need in just one place.
