Natural language query NLQ for short. It's like Google Search for your business. NLQ lets you build a report using plain English commands. You don't need to learn a new report designer, and you don't have to wait for someone else to create the report for you. On the left side of the NLQ window are the fields you can use in your query. Note that although this example of NLQ looks at sales invoices, you can choose any data from your ERP or related apps. They're all accessible via nlq. Like Google Search, the better you phrase your request, the better results you'll get. NLQ provides suggestions for your analysis, including date and time restrictions, record filtering, and desired output format such as line chart, pie chart, and geographic map. Let's analyze sales in 2029. Now let's see how this total is distributed among our salespeople. We'll type in by salesperson. Clearly Steve Church is our leading sales rep, but is his total due to just one or two high selling months, or has he maintained consistently high sales? Lets drill down further to see the month by month totals. We'll type in by month. The results are instantly changed and we can see that Steve is for the most part maintaining consistently high sales. Now that we have these results, let's export this data. We can go to the format options on the far right and and select text table. Let's finish up by looking at one final use case for NLQ Top 10 customers by revenue as you can see, NLQ requests are processed instantly, giving you the results you need when you need them. So for those times when a canned report simply won't do, NLQ certainly will.
