Let's talk how data self analytics maximizes the business intelligence, return on investment and provides long term peace of mind. So first of all, as we saw in the prior video, in the long run your BI platform will look like this. You'll have several different data sources, you'll have some sort of data warehousing framework and you have an analytics platform. And your decision makers will be excited, they'll be getting a lot of answers out of the system, they'll be requesting modifications and so forth. But the point is, in order to get this really providing value and maximizing the benefit for the decision making process, it will take time and expertise to put this together. So first of all, you'll need people that are experts in understanding your data sources, how the tables are structured, how to pull this information together, how to link the tables, the right fields to bring it all the way to the analytics platform, to provide good reports and dashboards. So you need people that have expertise in your data sources. You need people that have expertise in data warehousing to bring the data together, to blend it, to properly refresh it, to vet the information to be sure it's reliable and that you have a one version of the truth. You also need the data warehousing expertise. You'll need people that have expertise in the analytics platform that you supported, maintenance security server framework. And you also need business analysts that will get questions from business people, requirements and being able to help get the whole system to deliver on those values. So you need people with expertise in all of this. Some organizations, they have one person doing it all. It's hard to find this person that can do it all. Quite often they require several people. I always recommend to have a DI expertise company to support you in this process that can augment your team because it takes expertise to pull this thing together the proper way. Also, you'll need time to connect the dots. You need time to bring little by little, but all of your data sources required to integrate them together, to blend their data, to set up security. So it just takes time to connect all these pieces together, especially if you're building from scratch. Now if you build this solution from scratch or using a framework that starts with a little bit of reports in dashboards, be sure to retain your BI people in the long run because you'll need them. And let's say if you know, one, two, three years out, if these people or some of these people were promoted, can no longer do it or left the company, good luck, you'll have to hire new people. Most likely the new People will scratch. A lot of things start from scratch. And I've seen many BI projects fail because of people changed and then they scratched the old investment. Or you know, changing people significantly can increase the cost and make a big impact in the long run. So be sure to retain the good talent anyhow. But this is what it takes to get great value from your BI platform. All these people, expertise and time to put it together. Now if you have any of these source systems that I list on the left, these ERP and CRM systems that are very popular in the mid market, I have good news for you. Data Self focuses BI for organizations that have these ERP and CRM systems which usually are a major piece of the BI project. Bringing ERP information for sales, inventory, financials, payables, receivables, purchasing, or bringing CRM information for opportunity, analysis, tax support, activities, contacts and whatnot. You might have multi company, multi currency, doesn't matter if you have these systems, typically they will be a big part of your BI project. And Data Self here can dramatically make this part of the project faster, easier, lower cost. What we have is out of the box. We have a data warehouse framework that will connect to these systems kind of in a plug and play format. We use SQL Server as a platform, so it's one of the best. The Data Warehouses framework. We have our own extraction transformation loading tool that makes data warehousing easier and faster. You don't need to use it, but it will be much better if you use our framework. But anyhow, we have all these pieces ready to go. And for the analytics platform we use Tableau, which is best in class, easy, fast. It will enable your decision makers to access the reports and dashboards anytime, anywhere. And in the course of 12 years, deploying solutions like this, we have built a comprehensive library of out of the box reports that today have more than 5,000 reports and dashboard that connect automatically to these different ERP and CRM systems in the mid market. So this is the platform we have been maturing over these 12 years. Now what are the benefits they bring at the end of the day? So first of all, again we use best in class BI software platform, SQL Server for the data warehousing and Tableau for analytics. Our framework, our templates and expertise will dramatically reduce the time and the cost that it will take to integrate your ERP and CRM systems into your BI platform. I mean I'm talking dramatic. I've seen many of these projects taking years to bring all of the pieces, you know, the financials, the purchasing, the Sales, the inventory, and our CRM. It might take years to bring all the pieces together. Yes, you can do a few things in a few weeks. Absolutely. But to bring all of them together will likely take years and many people. With Data Self, it will usually take hours, days, maybe a few weeks. It's much faster and much, much lower cost. Now, because we do this for a living, we're always working with our clients to customize their systems and to bring other data sources. So we will also help reduce the time that it takes to connect all the dots, to bring all of your data sources and to distribute information to users. Now remember also, to make this whole system work in the long run, you need expertise in many different things. Well, we do have expertise in data sources, we do have expertise in data warehousing, in analytics, platform experts, with business analysts, and to make all these pieces together, so many of our clients don't need to hire additional people for their BI projects. Many of our clients actually have freed some of their people because the BI from Data Self took care of a lot of the needs. So overall, Data Self will reduce the need to have more people involved in your BI project and that's usually reduced dramatically those requirements or those needs. Finally, we provide long term peace of mind because in the long run, even if your people change, we're here to augment your BI labor. We can train your people, you guys do it all by yourselves. We can complement your BI team or you can even outsource your BI needs. We're here to support from a team standpoint and from a platform standpoint. If you change your erp, if you change your CRM, if you change your other systems. We have designed our BI platform to easily adapt to different changes and usually keep the history. You know, if you move from one ERP to another, no problem, the reporting platform will not change and will keep the history of the old system blend with the new one. This can be done in short period of time and from a reporting standpoint, your transition is going to be very smooth and very fast. So in a nutshell, because of all these things, we usually dramatically reduce the total cost of ownership. If you watch the prior video, on average we reduce from 2 to 17 times the total cost of ownership comparing to building your BI using the traditional approach. So we dramatically reduce the cost. Not only that, but we maximize the return on investment by bringing the cost down and by bringing a lot more value, a lot of expertise and a lot of out of the box reports and dashboards to help you get started in a much more developed way. Finally, again, we provide long term peace of mind. We'll support you as needed so you're not going to be scratching your BI investment, you're just going to be building on top of it. So that's pretty much the main Data Self value. My final recommendations when is Power BI a good fit? Well, as I mentioned, in my team we have power users of Power bi. We are not yet Power BI experts, so I recommend consulting Power BI experts to evaluate your needs and see if it's a good fit and how much it's going to cost. When is Tableau good Fit? If you're looking for mature and best in class analytics, Tableau is it. Yes, Tableau costs a little bit more than some other BI alternatives like Power bi, but boy it's very mature product, it's very fast, it's very scalable and is the best in class. When is Data Self in Tableau a good fit? Well, when Tableau is the right choice for you and when you want to maximize return on investment, getting a lot of value very quickly, not in months and years, but usually in hours, days, maybe a few weeks. So data sales can dramatically increase return on investment. And when you want long term peace of mind that your project will be supported and that you're going to be augmented as you move forward.
