Many organizations have seasonality in their operations. Understanding the business trends in properly managing resources through the ups and downs can have a major impact in the bottom line. This dashboard focuses on sales. However, we offer seasonal analysis across a wide variety of areas such as inventory, receivables and expenses. This dashboard plots bars for sales in orange bubbles for the growth since the same season last year. As we can see here, in the summer of 2017 we had a 28% growth since the prior summer. The dashboard also covers a few different types of seasons such as holidays, year to date and monthly. When analyzing seasons, we usually start with the big picture and then drill down to the underlying facts. For instance, why December had a decline between these two years. By clicking on the December label, the chart shrinks so we can see sales by customer and by product. These two lists are sorted in descending order by sales in red means decline since prior year. Selecting a product will show which clients purchase it. Selecting a customer shows which products were purchased. Interacting with data like this can quickly help you understand the facts behind your seasonal trends. And of course you can use filters to slice your data. And it might be critical to have this kind of insights across all areas of your business that are affected by seasonality. And that's another area where Data Self shines. Meaning Data Self is a single BI platform that can consolidate all of your business areas in their data silos. Click this star icon for other trial dashboards. Thanks for watching.
