Self Service bi. Self Service bi. What is it? Why you might need it? Well, BI has been around for a long time. BI pretty much is easier reporting, faster reporting. Self Service BI is one of the latest BI improvements, which means it's Self service. The idea of BI is empowering the people who understand the business threats, the business opportunities. Typically these people are not IT experts. They're actually business people running the business, managing people, selling, building things. And the idea of Self BI is giving these people, the people who understand the business, the threats, the opportunities, a way that they can access the information anytime, anywhere, at the office, as a coffee shop, in the plant floor, visiting a client. They not only can access their reports and dashboards, but if needed, they also should be able to change reports, slice and as reports drill down, even build new ones from scratch. So Self Service BI means much easier to use that a person who is not necessarily IT savvy will be able to access the reports, slice and dice and build new ones from scratch without calling for an expert. That's Self Service bi. And today we'll be talking about Data self Analytics version 9, the latest release from Data Self, focusing on the Self Service BI of Data Self, showing the complete and polished solution. My name is Johnny Girardi. I'm the CEO and founder of Data Self. Thanks for joining us. So let's jump right into the webinar's agenda. First of all, we'll spend a few minutes talking about the concepts behind Self Service BI and particularly Data Self Analytics. You know how we can give Self Service BI for mid sized companies. Then we're going to spend most of the time showing the product in how Self Service BI applies to real case scenarios. And then at the end we'll do questions and answers. So if you have questions, write down the notes and at the end we'll use GoToWebinar panels to answer your questions. So first of all, let's talk about Self Service BI and how we fit into the whole puzzle. This is Gartner Magic Quadrant for BI and analytics platforms. Gartner is one of the most reputable companies doing technology assessment for Fortune 2000 companies in every year in February they Release How Fortune 2000 BI and analytics vendors are doing up there. Making a long story short, here we can see that Tableau has actually been the leader in analytics and Self Service BI for three years in a row, according to Gartner. So for Fortune 2000, Tableau has been the most successful Self Service BI vendor and Microsoft has been one of the most successful companies providing BI infrastructure Pulling data together, massaging data and so forth. Well, what about these vendors? What about Data Self analytics? Well, Data self analytics is actually a packaged solution of different software components. When you get data self analyt, you get nothing but tableau being the gold standard for analytics for three years in a row according to Garner. You also get Microsoft BI as a BI infrastructure for the solution. Plus we add our own technology that eliminates programming from these other products so it's easier and faster to deploy to maintain it. Not only that, but our team has been working for 15 years delivering BI and now self Service BI for mid sized companies. And over the years we kind of crowdsourced reports and dashboards. We learn from our clients, how they look at their data, and when we learn something interesting, we add to the out of the box solution. And today there's more than 5,000 reports dashboard, KPI's ready to go. So that's what we got with data. Self is a technology that uses the best of the breed technology. Self Service BI from Fortune 2000 vendors. We make it fast, usually can be deployed in hours or days. We have expertise dealing with mid market companies in how to integrate with enterprise grade analytics. And overall the cost is really a fraction of the cost if you try to build it yourself or buy from other vendors. So that's how we deliver Self Service bi. We say that we build what we do best. So what we do best is this and we source from others what we don't. So best analytics tool tableau, let's get it for our clients one of the best BI infrastructures. Let's get it and together. What you get is pretty much the best of the bridge solution out there from a self service BI standpoint. Alrighty, so let's look how it works. In this presentation we have in our audience some of our existing clients, prospects, resellers, many, many people and I really appreciate your taking the time to come with us today. The way we present the solution is actually creating a real case scenario and show how Self Service BI helps decision makers tackling those needs. In this presentation I'm going to use the hat of the CEO of a distribution company here in California. This distribution company has been growing sales very aggressively for the past few years. So very good sales growth. In every quarter, the CEO has meetings with the board where many questions are asked about operations and how things are doing. Well. Until recently, my team of IT people and marketing people and accounting people, they would spend several days crunching data to build reports. So me as the CEO of the distribution company could Go to the board and have my meetings now, my management team, as myself as well as my board members. We are very data driven. Yes, we use gut feeling for our decisions, but we love to see data, we love to see facts before we make decisions. So because of that, you know, we spend a lot of time and effort crunching data, building reports, distribute reports and so forth. Well, recently we acquired Data Self analytics which is supposed to be a self service BI and this would be my first try at getting the reports I show to my board on a quarterly basis and get the reports ready. And that's what we're going to be doing the next about 30 minutes is the CEO will get these reports built from scratch and discover data as needed. So typically, what do we look at these board meetings? Well, first of all, it's a quarterly meeting, so we usually go into this quarter sales details, we look at customer sales, we sell products. So we look at product sales, invoices and so forth. So I need to build a report showing detail oriented information. Then we look at marketing trends, particularly how website hits are affecting our sales and that help us decide marketing initiatives. So I also want to tackle marketing versus sales trends from that standpoint. We do sales all over the country. We also sell in Canada, but usually we focus more in US yet. So I want to see sales by state in the US and see how big the deal sizes are. Then we're always discussing clients with large declines, why are they declining, what's going on and so forth. So I want to see some sales declines reports and then also financial projections, you know, what's going on with this quarter, how are we going to be closing it and so forth. So these five reports I always bring to the board meeting and quite often the board asked me different questions about these reports and quite often I don't have a report to answer the question. I get to write notes and tell them, well, I'll get back to you in a few days once I figure that out. Hopefully now with this self service BI technology, I'll be able to answer questions that were not expected on the fly because I should be able to do it by myself. The last part of the presentation, the product presentation, I'm going to dive into a new area of focus. We've been growing sales significantly, but profitability is not as high as we expected. My business has on average more than 50% gross margin and our overall profitability is below that. Why is that? The board asked me and I have no clue so far. And I hope that today in this half an hour. I will also be able to dive into that information to have some ideas for our next discussion about a board discussion. So are you ready to go for self service bi? I'm definitely ready. Let's do it. So I'm going to be focusing first on this tool which is considered the publishing tool, the most powerful tool when it comes to building reports, slicing and dicing reports, drilling down and doing whatever I want. Most of the things that I'm going to be showing here on this tool can also be done on web browsers as well as mobile devices like iPads, tablets and even on smartphones. So you know you can consume information and even slice and dice and drill down using different devices. People are mobile today so you need to give them ways to access information anytime, anywhere. So in this case, most of the reports that I need to show to my board are sales oriented. So I'm going to be focusing on sales. However, data self covers, you know, purchasing, payables, receivables, financials, inventory, pretty much a lot of the modules from ERP and CRM systems from the mid market businesses. We cover out of the box several modules. But in this case I'm looking at the revenues or sales connector and I'm looking at dimensions like you know, customers, products, salespeople, invoice information and sales amount, cost of sales and different measures. All right, so let's start building the reports and the first one is I want to see is this quarter sales details. Let's build that report. Keep in mind this is self service bi so it should be easy for a person who is not necessarily an IT expert. So let's see that I want to see sales which is here I just drag and drop sales to my report. So this is total sales company wide and I want to see sales by customer. So let me bring customer to my report. Just drag and drop and right there you got sales by customer. Pretty straightforward. Typically when I'm looking at some information I want to see in a specific time period bucket like you know this quarter for this corporate meeting, it could be this year, last year, by month, by week, by fiscal period, whatever it is. Overall building reports like this is just drag and drop. So let me drag and drop invoice date to my columns. When I do that automatically I go to the year level. So these are the four years of business that I have in my company history. I can drill from the year to the quarter level just by expanding the plus button. If I click quarter I expand to the month level. So I go back to the Month level, I can go to the date level. I could choose weeks, I could choose fiscal periods. Pretty much, we expand or drag and drop. Well, for my board meeting, I need this quarter sales. So I need to get a slice of this report for only this quarter. So I should filter this report to only show this quarter. Let's do that again. Drag and drop. I take invoice, date and I drag and drop into filters. So pretty intuitive. Yes, there you go. Filters, drag and drop. And then I can choose here, different time buckets, years, quarter months, days, weeks, and so forth. Let me choose relative date because I want this quarter's date. Doesn't matter what quarter it is. I always want to see this quarter because my meetings are in the quarter. So here on this relative date, I choose the time bucket. Let's say quarter and then I have this quarter click apply. So there we go. We have second quarter, 2015, maybe if I want to see previous quarter and apply now, get the previous quarter. Very easy to use. Point and click. Just drag and drop. And you got this quarter's day information. Now I want to put this filter on. I'm sorry, let me go back here. I want to put this filter on the right here. So when I go to my board meeting, sometimes they ask me, what about last quarter? What about last year? Whatever it is, I could easily come here later, click on this filter and just pick a different period, you know, maybe the last three quarters, maybe the last, let's say the last year. So all the last four, you know, quarters of that year would be right here. Next time when the board throws me a curved ball, I hope to be able to enter without having to tell them. I'll get back to you. So we can make decisions on the fly right there. Be a lot more productive. A little bit back to my this quarter report. Now, typically we need to see sales by customer, by product. I want to see invoice number, invoice date, and things of that nature. Well, it's all drag and drop. So if I want to see sales by customer, by product, I just find product here and I drag and drop and you get product. So by customer, by product, by sales, you know, they ask, you know, what about quantity shipped? Quantity sold. Well, again, drag and drop. I got a quantity sold. Here I drag and drop and right there I have quantity sold and sales amount. Sometimes also the board may ask me things that I don't have available. Let's say they can ask me. I want to see average price divide, sales by quantity sold. And if I go Here I don't have average price sold, I don't have the division, let's say of quantity of price sold divided by quantity. What happens if they ask me this question? Do I have to export to Excel? Do I have to call it and ask them to create a new measure in this list of pre configured measures? Because this is a self service bi, it has been designed to be easy in a lot of the needs. You the business person can tackle it without calling an expert. Let me show how I would go about creating a new measure here. I come here and I say okay, I want to do sum of sales divided by sum of quantity sold. So this would be a new measure and let me put the new measure at the bottom of my list. So here it is, I have this new calculation that is also listed here. And since I know they ask this question quite often, I actually want to add this measure to my list of existing measures. So once I do that I don't have to average price so I don't have to be creating this measure every time again over and over I'm just creating the measure. I give a long description name, I click ok. And now I have this available forever. For all future reports I just drag and drop. Beautiful. Now average price sold is a dollar amount by default. It gave me an integer. Well it's very easy to change format. I want to say I want to show this as number format and it's going to be a currency, just standard currency format. I could change the cents, whatever, but in this case I just want a regular currency and there you go. So even if you need to create new measures like in this example, divide one by the other, finding year to date, year over year growth, things of that nature, usually it takes a few clicks of drag and drop kind of functionality for a business person who is not an IT expert to build new calculations on the fly. Again using this kind of interface and being able to do reports in a self service bi basis. So very easy, very intuitive. All right, so so far I'm looking at customer sales, product, average price sold, quantity sold and sales amount. Well you know, usually the board asks me invoice number, invoice date, it's all drag and drop. I just point and click find the field like invoice number, drag and drop, confirm and you got the answer. So again we have several of our clients, CEOs, COOs, CFOs, controllers, accounting people, salespeople, purchasing people that learned how to build reports like this just by watching a presentation like this. So is that intuitive? Some people catch it very quickly because it's drag and drop, point and click. So there it is, that's my report. And again in my board meeting if they asked me for something different, what warehouse shipped the product, who sold to this customer, when was it shipped, whatever, I just drag and drop. So my next board meeting I'm pretty sure as they ask their smart questions, most likely I'll be able to answer them even if the report is not ready because I can do it. And this is self service bi awesome. So first report I went slowly to show the mechanics but overall is to give you the idea that is drag and drop, point and click type of thing. Now let's move forward a little bit more quickly. The next report is marketing versus sales trends. So in this case I'm going to build a new sheet here and I want to see sales and marketing, sales and website visitors side by side. Well, website visitors come from Google Analytics and how am I going to do it? The good news is when we acquire data self we ask data self and our IT team that we want to combine sales and Google Analytics information and just make it happen. What they did, somehow they pull the information together. And now website visitors is just another measure from my sales measures. It's just a number that pulls from somewhere that is related to everything else. How can I use it? Well, let's combine sales and make sales by date and I want to see on a monthly basis. So I'm going to choose my invoice date and choose sales on a monthly basis. So this is my sales growing throughout the years on a monthly basis. Now I want to see Google Analytics information website visitors. I just drag and drop website visitors. I'm going to drag and drop right here. So these are website visitors. Let's make bars. So bars are website visitors and sales is aligned. Is it related to each other? Perhaps we make a dual axis to see them more closely. And I love this view. So website visitors are the boards in orange. Sales is the line. And now I could see if the spikes in website visitors have affected my sales. And this kind of discussion would be part of my board meeting discussions as well as discussion with the marketing team. Awesome. It took me like a couple of minutes to build a rapport to before my poor IT team and my marketing people would spend days combining sales information with Google Analytics. It was a painful process. Now it became completely automated, the extraction and the combination and I was able to build a report from scratch very quickly and it was ready to go. And every year, every morning I just Refresh and will be right there. Ready? Completely automated. Awesome. So that was easy. Next one is regional sales by deal size. So when I see sales by state in the continental USA area and how big the deal sizes are, let me build a new sheet here. And when you look at geography analysis, it can be anything that has a geography component. Maybe your locations, maybe the customer's ship to address, bill to address, your reps addresses, whatever. There's an address you can put on a map. My example, I'm choosing the customer address which is the bill to address. I want to see deal sizes showing small, medium and large invoices and sales and want to plot all this information on a map. So there it is, quickly and easily. Now as I mentioned, my board meeting focus on the US Continental area. So let me zoom this into the United States continental. And this is one of the new features of version 9. The way that you can search for geography is very straightforward. You could choose if you're doing, let's say analysis by county, by city, by zip code. You don't focus, let's say in the San Francisco Bay area or in the state of Florida, you just enter the search box and you go for that area and the tool will focus the area of analysis in that particular geography area. So there it is. I focus on the United States continental and beautiful. You know, I just built these three reports and let's say I would like to have them on a dashboard to put on my iPad because I go to meetings quite often with my iPad. So let me build now a dashboard and I could choose to focus on an iPad screen resolution or do automatically just fit whatever the screen resolution that I'm using even on my smartphone. And then to build the dashboard is again drag and drop. I'm drag and dropping the map, I'm taking the bar analysis and putting at the bottom and I'm taking the detail report and just dragging and dropping in this quadrant over here again in a few seconds I was able to build a fairly sophisticated dashboard that shows me all of this information. I pretty much know about 12, 13 minutes into my presentation and I build this from scratch. This is self service bi. As you can tell, you do not need to be an expert to build these things. It's drag and drop, point and click. And you can build fairly elaborate dashboards without calling experts, without taking too long, without going through complicated processes. That's self service bi. Now back to my board meeting discussions. Quite often one of my board members tells, hey, I'm going to visit these three states. Can you show me how they're doing because I'm only talking to some of the clients and I'm like now, my God. Okay, I have to get back to you and you know, in a few days I email you that information. Well now with this self service BI technology, I could come over here and say and do this. Well, he's going to go to these three states, to Texas. He's going to go, go here and this one. And once I select this, the whole dashboard changes to reflect what those three states are, the sales are and who we're selling to. So very easy, very straightforward, just point and click and you can get answers that before it will require me a few days to get back to people. Now I should be able to answer on the fly. All right, so we covered the first three. What about sales decline? I want to see sales that have customers. We have big declines since last year as well as people who are no longer buying from us. Well, the good news is when I acquired Dataself, it came with more than 5,000 reports, dashboards and KPIs. And I remember that they have many reports showing sales decline. Now what I'm going to do is I'm going to go to my web portal that has been loaded with my out of the box solution. This is a web portal that you can access with web browsers as well as mobile devices. When I click top customers and this only has a small section of the whole out of the box solution. But anyway, I found here top customer by sales change since last year. That means biggest growth and biggest decline. And this is how much sales has changed since last year. These are the top customers by sales growth. These are the top customers by sales decline. Perfect. This report is ready. I don't need to build, I just need to show to the board the top cost by sales decline since last year to date. And the answer is right there. Also this other report here available out of the box and there are many from dataself, shows what is called exception reporting things that are no longer happening. In this case customers who are no longer buying in the last 30 days. In the last two months. In the last year. In the last two years. So another report out of the box available that will fit right into my board meeting requirements and I didn't have to do a thing. Awesome. Actually, out of the 5,000 reports, many of our clients find that the 5,000 is all that they need. So there's a lot and a lot of reports showing different trends for sales, for purchasing, payables, receivables, inventory, financials and so forth. Okay, so this was done as well. This is a financial projection in this report was customized already by my IT team. So my IT worked with my accounting people and salespeople to come up with my projections and and before data self this report alone was a major pain and let me show you why. So this is the revenues in projection report that my board wants to see. Why is this report so tricky, so time consuming for my team before data self? Well, because it has first of all revenues quarterly by cost center. So all this information actually comes from IGL information. Not too bad. So you know, okay, but it's part of the process. Then here I have some more detailed information about this quarter. Revenues, you know, revenues, gross profit and gross profit percentage also from financial. So you know, not too bad. But it was taking some time for my team to put it together. Now revenues this month was a painful process for my IT team accounting in sales because. Because I want to see projection by the end of the month and that means current month bookings, meaning what I already have invoiced and this comes from my financial information then open sales orders. They are not in my financials, they are still in the open sales order module. And we need to bring to this report by cost center and then expected new revenues which comes from my CRM. So this section here has information coming from three different sources. Financials, sales orders and CRM. They are just data and in my financials I want to see, the board wants to see them together. So for my poor IT team before it was a very time consuming process. Now with data self they have linked the things all behind the scenes. It's always automatically refreshed. Every day when I run this report it shows me the latest information completely automated. And I'm so glad that as a company we made this investment into self service bi okay, so let me go back. So we talk about financial projections. Now the last part of my product presentation is a new area of focus. What's going on with our profitability? Why isn't it higher? As a CEO I don't know. And I want to see if I can figure out something right now. So let's create a new sheet here and I'm going to start with something that I'm comfortable and I know that are important. Of course my sales and we are driven by customers, customer groups and territory. So let me add customer group and territory. I'm just pointing, clicking and double clicking and building this basic infrastructure and let me pivot this so I can See more easily buy customer group, buy territory, my sales and when I look at this information, yeah this information is what I've been looking. So this is good so far. Now how about profitability? Well let me take percentage gross profit and add as a color. So very green is very profitable. Kind of in a whitish is not so profitable. Now I'm seeing something that I didn't know. If I look at the new report, all these customer groups at the top, they're all very profitable while sh, regardless of the territory is all very white color. So my problem is in a specific customer group, it doesn't matter the territory. So let me remove territory from the report. And so clearly right now when I put the mouse over profitability for SH is 9.11% while for the other customer groups is over 50% which is our expectation. What's going on with the SH customer group? I don't know. Let's look further. I'm going to right click and say keep only this one. So I'm now only look at SH which has a 9% profitability. Pretty low. Let me make it vertical now. What about it? Is this something changing over time? I can just start slicing and dicing this and I think time is a good one to analyze. Let me put invoice date. Let me drill down all the way to the month level. Right now I have for every year my sales lines and the profitability being on this color schema. And look at this, last year in November profitability was negative. I lost money in this customer group. It's ridiculous. I mean our profitability supposed to be 50% and higher. Not only that, but the prior year about the same time it was negative again in the prior year it was pretty low. So definitely there is something going on at the end of the year that is bringing profitability significantly down mean losses. This cannot happen. And you know, I could keep on drilling down into products, into whatever, but I'm a busy person, I'm the CEO. So what I'm going to do instead is I'm going to take click on this on this last November and say view data. I want to see all the data that is behind that particular aggregation. So all the sales in November, these are all the records. Invoice number, invoice date, item sold, salespeople, warehouse, everything is all here. This is about 36,000 records. And now I can easily email this information to my account manager for SH customer group and ask this person, can you please check why we're being have negative profitability in that month? Give me answers because I'm going to be meeting with the board and we need to start figuring out what's going on and hopefully address the issue. But the point is, as the CEO, it took me a few clicks to find a trend that before I did not know. And this is called data discovery. Data discovery is like the next frontier in bi. It makes self service BI something that goes beyond the questions that you already know. You already know the question you're looking for the answer. Data discovery is you don't know what's going on, you just want to find trends and doing these things, you can just figure it out. Now typically when you're doing data discovery you want to see trend lines, you want to see forecasts and data. Self analytics version 9 has a lot of built in capabilities that make that job very, very easy. Let's say I want to add trend lines. I just drag and drop again, drag and drop. And now I have the trend line on a yearly basis and I see it's going trending up, which is positive. I also have forecast that again I just drag and drop and then it shows me my actual data finishes here. Moving forward is making a projection, more likely projection of my sales. In the whole gray area is the possible range based on what I did in the past. All of these parameters are configurable so I can change the forecasting parameters to be more accurate based on your specific needs. And once you do that, it becomes a drag and drop kind of capability. Very easy for decision makers. Alrighty, so this was the product demo showing how self service BI has been used in a real case scenario, coming up with questions and being able to find answers by dragging and dropping. Some of the good news is all the reports that I built here, I can publish them to the web server next time these reports will be available. Every time that I open these reports on the web or my iPhone for instance, I see the latest information completely automated and the distribution of report becomes also something can be sent, can be accessed by URL addresses or even can be distributed using emails, PDFs and so forth. All right, let me show you now a few extra pieces of information here. So this solution has a web server, a data self BI server that includes a data warehouse and a web server usually deployed on premises. And if you have many users, if you have little users, typically the deployment and maintenance is something straightforward. Once it's done, you walk away and it's good to go. No more maintenance. If you have a lot of users, quite often you have to change users you know, some people leave the company, you hire different people, you increase your number of users. So you need to change user rights. Who can see what you want to see? Maybe you're having many people access the system, overall you want to see who is running what. So this tool provides many ways to do the administration work for the solution, like here, how you give rights to people. So you have different user groups and you tell what rights the group has from a viewing reports, interacting with reports, changing or creating reports. And if you click in one of the user groups, you can see the individual users and what each individual has rights to. So very visual, very easy to change user rights if you are an IT person. Also if you have many users, sometimes what happens is people will be running reports a lot if they are also data driven. And then you may want to see, you know, who's running what, what time of the day. Should I be allocating more resources? Should I make optimizations? So there are many reports that show usage of reports per user. It shows when people are using days and hours of the day, what reports are being run and who is running the report. So if you have many users, sometimes this kind of information is critical. So you can maintain the sol nice and tight and always very optimized speed. We have many clients that come to us because the reports take too long to run. Too long. Maybe a minute, maybe an hour, maybe a day to run. It doesn't matter. Overall, most of our reports will run in seconds. Regardless of your database size, it's very fast and with version 9 is even faster. For instance, this is an example that actually Tableau, which is the engine running our client tool, has ran and in this case they pulled data from a 173 million records and they learned that between version 8.3 and version 9, the faster data engine was able to run this query 10 times faster. So much faster. Most of our clients in the mid market, they don't have this level of data. They usually have a few million records, 5, 10, 15 million records. The point is, queries will run super fast regardless of the size of your database. There are more ways the version 9 runs faster. This is called query fusion. Typically when you run a report that has several components, the tool must send queries to the database asking different pieces of information. The new technology runs less queries. And because of that, in this example here that the bloat tested, it was two times faster because two queries became only one and the solution was running faster. In the past, every time you would open a dashboard with Several different segments. The tool would run queries one at a time and now it runs in parallel. And in this case, queries run nine times faster than the older version. Finally, caching. Once you build this dashboard, a second person opening the same dashboard will run much, much faster. In this example, 50 times faster. Making a story short, reports run even faster with Data self analytics version 9. Much faster than before. It was faster than most of our competitors. Now it's even faster, which is always good news. Alrighty, in a nutshell, what are the main benefits of Data self analytics and actually self service bi? The most important one is empowering decision makers. The people who understand the business, who understand the threats and opportunities. Give these people information anytime, anywhere and they'll make more informed decisions and your business will grow a lot more quickly. How do we do it? How Data Self does this? First of all, by providing a very comprehensive out of the box solution with more than 5,000 reports, dashboard, KPIs, and again we did crowdsourcing. Many of these are very critical and you probably should be paying attention to them today, several of them and you're not. So the first is give information to people and giving a lot of information as needed. Second is by using a self service BI powered by, in our case by Tableau, which is the gold standard for analytics. This will allow your decision makers to build new reports from scratch, slice and dice them, drill down anytime, anywhere. So this is the biggest benefit, getting these people better information. They will grow the business more quickly. The second also most important is if your company is spending a lot of effort, energy, money, people's time, building report, distribute report, then this technology most likely will reduce that cost by more than 80% overall. What it does is the distribution information becomes automatic. People will be able to retrieve the information using desktop, web and mobile devices. They can receive reports automatically by email, they can subscribe to some reports or the IT person can tell what reports should be automatically emailed to a different group of people. And if you need to consolidate data, you know, if you have a multi company, if you have data from the ERP at the CRM that you want to combine, or you want to combine information from different modules on your ERP system, maybe you have a POS system, maybe you have Excel files that you need to combine to reports, this technology usually can completely automate the data crunching. Whatever is mechanical, this technology can automate. We don't replace humans, but we replace repetitive work by using smart software components. So what are the next steps? First of all, if you want to learn more about us by yourself. You know, you just want to go anytime, anywhere and find more information. Let me go to our website very quickly here to show you some critical links that are usually very popular for people who want to learn more. So if you go to our website, dataself.com first of all, if you want to just show dataself to a coworker in a two minute perspective, you can click in this button here and you have this YouTube video that has two minutes, very short, but gives the idea of the self service BI framework. Go here two minutes and you got an idea if it may be a good fit for your business. Now if you go down the website, the homepage, also some people want to learn about the 5000 reports, dashboards and KPIs which is right here. I'm going to click right away. Also in the CD architecture solution, you click right here. But let me show the 5,000 reports, KPIs and dashboards. If you come here, you see this summarized list of reports by different ERP and CRM modules. And if you click Download full list you actually will get an Excel file that has every single report listed. So if you want to learn that, just go to our homepage and click on that particular link and then you're going to go there. Alrighty. As next step beyond learning things on the website, I think this is the most important one. Can Self Service BI improve your decision making process? How you're doing, Tell how Self Service BI may be of value and if it's a good value, I can guarantee you that the price of our solution will not be a problem because it's really affordable considering the value you get out of it. Out of it. So if you believe there's value, call us. And at the end of my presentation you can find my phone number, email and Twitter account. Alrighty. I hope you have enjoyed so far. Let's open the questions and answers. If you have written down questions, you can use the GoToWebinar panel to write your questions and I'm going to be answering right now. So let's see questions here. A question from Peter. How can I show a prospect that this is tableau? Okay, Peter, is one of our resellers. Peter, thanks for the question. So if you go to Data Self analytics and Desktop go to help and choose about it will show here that the client tool is powered by Tableau. So if you need to prove right there, I guess you'll get the answer. So I hope I have answered your question. Peter, let me see more questions here. Question From Tracy what sage 300 versions do you support? Tracy, thanks for your question. Let me show my website again and if you go here on the homepage and go for this section that shows analytics by ERP and CRM. So if you click here you go to this section that we have the ERP and CRM solution that we connect out of the box for with the thousands of reports and KPIs. And if you choose any, you know the one that you're interested in like the sage 300 in this case you get on this page that you'll see here what version are supported for that particular product. This page also has links to recorded webinars specific to that product and further information about it. By the way, this webinar in all our webinars, if you go to resources on the menu and choose webinars and go to the recorded webinars, you'll find links of our webinars and today's webinar is being recorded and tomorrow, by tomorrow hopefully we'll have the new link. So if you want to share this webinar with someone else, you can just come tomorrow and get the link and someone else can watch or you can watch it again if you like on your Saturday night time. All right, more questions here. Another question from Joseph. Could you briefly discuss the ETL backend data operations in how customizable these aspects of the software are? Joseph, thanks for the question. So a more technical question which I capable of answering. So let me go back to my website and again I'm going to scroll down to this section and since you want to talk about the back end and the etl, I think you have done your research on data self first. So this is the architecture of data self. This is your data sources, your erp, CRM, Google Analytics, whatever data source is. This data is pulled into a SQL Server data warehouse, usually on premises using our ETL technology and I'll talk about it very quickly. Then this data is massaged and is clean is prepared for analysis. Then we have the Tableau OEM component which also can be deployed on premises or in the cloud. And finally users will access using desktop, web and mobile devices. Now out of the box. This whole framework, all of these packages, they come pre configured out of the box for the ERPs and CRMs that I showed. However, this is a completely customizable framework. All of these components can be customized. The question is who's going to do it? We always like to train people so they become completely self sufficient. Reality is about 80% of our clients don't have in house expertise to tackle the back end. So they usually rely the backend customizations, data extraction as we call into the reseller's hand or our hand to support them. And they only focus on report creation, distribution. The other 20% of our clients they actually have in house bandwidth and then their IT people. This is an IT job, you know, maintaining the back end is an IT job. So the IT learns the additional SQL Server techniques, including the ETL techniques and the web server techniques to maintain IT overall. You don't need to be a SQL Server expert to do this, but you have to have to be an IT to maintain the back end. And I think it's very relevant to mention here that reporting is overall a complicated activity. However, with data self analytics we break the problem in two pieces. The backend where complexity is, is handled by IT and maintained by it. The good news is once IT maintains this backend system, now all the front end report creation, report distribution, slice and dicing drill down become something that users can do it. So on average users become a lot more self sufficient because the complex of reporting, the data plumbing as we call getting the data from all the different tables, different systems putting together it takes care of that. Now users just drag and drop, slice and dice it and become self sufficient. Joseph, I hope I have answered your question. Let me see more questions here. I think it's from Joseph again. Also do you connect to gdeworld Joseph? We haven't, but if you're interested in that we can talk about IT and see if this would be a good fit at this point. In the past we have talked with a few people but nobody ever become really serious about discussing it. So at this point if you feel this technology can be of use for JDE world, I'm glad to talk about it and see if it's a good fit or not. Thank you Joseph. Let me see one more question here. So question from John. Can this technology combine ERP and CRM information? John, thanks for your question. Actually yes, when I showed the solution here, I showed that we had already integrated Google Analytics. It's not a CRM but it's a data source. Out of the box. If you have one of our out of the box erps on CRM solutions we already have integrated both systems extensively. But yes doesn't matter what data source you have as long as this is a tabular data source it can be brought in. It can be combined at the client tool or at the server side. Folks we're running out of time. I still have a few more questions but we'll address them on a one on one basis. Let me just go back here and show you my contact information so if you want to discuss more if this is a good fit for your business please feel free to call me. This is my cell phone. You can email me or use my Twitter account again. You can visit our website for a lot of information. I hope you have found this session informative. I hope you have a happy Thursday and I look forward to speaking with you in the near future. Thank. You.
