This is a YouTube video titled "L와 R 구별하기" created on January 6, 2014, featuring a language lesson focused on distinguishing the English L and R sounds. The speaker, Josh, founder of SplashEnglish.com, explains tongue positioning and pronunciation differences in both English and Korean, providing practice sentences for learners.
Hello, in this video, I'm going to teach you very quickly how to do L's and R's. 이 비디오에서는 L하고 R의 발음 차이를 간단하게 설명드리도록 하겠습니다. That's my Santa, and that's my MacBook, and I'm Josh, the founder of SplashEnglish.com. 먼저 L하고 R에 대해서 말씀드리기 전에 ㄹ에 대해서 잠깐 말씀드리겠습니다. 예를 들어서 여러분이 한라산이라고 말씀하실 때 한라산 이렇게 혀가 주니에 있지요. 근데 생각하시면 이 혀에 많은 면적이 붙어있어요. 하지만 L 할 때는 지금 the roof of your mouth에 그 혀를 붙이지 마시고 the tip of your tongue has to touch the back of your front teeth. 앞니 바로 뒤에 혀의 끝이 가야 합니다. le le like that. 근데 혀의 끝만 앞니 뒤에 가니까 혀의 가운데 부분이 좀 약간 뭔가 공기가 있는 것 같고, 약간 좀 혀에 근육이... It's stiff and tense, and that's what it's gonna feel like at first. So be careful, ㄹ and L are different. Okay, so let's practice. So please repeat after me. L E A D, lead. L E A P, lead. led lead leap. r는 어떻게 하는 거냐면 혀가 붙이지 않아요. 혀를 이런 모양으로 만들고 약간 pull it back a little bit 그래서 혀를 R 모양으로 내릴 수 있어야 합니다. 혀의 끝은 건드리지 않아요. red, read, reap 그러면 l하고 r 이렇게 왔다갔다 하면서 연습해봅시다. led red lead read leap I came up with these sentences 제가 문장을 만들어 보았어요. 이것으로 연습을 해보도록 하겠습니다. The leader of the leopards let the lilacs leap over the leather. 다음 문장은... 다음 문장은... 그렇게 L하고 R을 합니다. 혀의 위치를 의식하세요.
