Julie Chenell argues online courses aren't dying, they're evolving. People buy courses to see how creators think, not just to get information. Jessie's $1.2 million challenge launch worked because it sold her mindset, and Julie's successful products focus on her approach to webinars and AI.

You know, everyone keeps saying courses are dead, and I really, I don't think that's it. I think what people are buying are products where they can watch how you think. Obviously the whole internet, on Instagram at least, talking about Jessie's, uh, $1.2 million launch. But if you think about it, that challenge is all about how she thinks about content. When I think back about all the products that have popped off in the last 6 months that I've put out, All of them have been directly around how I think about webinars or about AI. And I think people want to see how you think. They wanna see what you're doing very behind the scenes because the goal and the hope is that by doing so, they'll be able to think and implement the way you do. And that way, if like your course isn't selling, it's possible that it's just not enough about that. It's more about information and information is commodity now. It's really impacting us at Funnel Gorgeous since we are an education company and I'm one— and I'm the primary product creator and I wanna make sure that I'm putting out things that help people think differently and therefore act differently. I'm curious, the last course that you bought, why did you love it? Was it because of this idea? Because if you— if that's true that we're really just looking for like what's going on underneath the hood, what's going on behind the scenes, why are you thinking about that? In the way that you are, then I think there is a whole lot of opportunity for people to sell that experience, that behind the scenes, under the hood. Here's how I think, here's how I do what I— we can remake our products that way. Or, you know, possibly you as a course creator need to go try some things, document it, and then sell how you thought about it. Maybe it'll work.
