Chasing an American dream? I'm just back from USA

A traveler driving through the American South reflects on why the U.S. doesn't live up to its promise. They argue Canada offers more cultural freedom for people of color, while America enforces unwritten rules about how brown and Black people should dress and behave. The American Dream, they conclude, feels like a myth.

Hey there, guys. How are you doing? I am in United States of America, the golden American dreams. I'm right now here. I'm not pursuing any dreams here. I'm very happy in Canada and my beloved India, where I spent almost three to four months once a year. Try to do it. So this is America. All you guys with your American dreams, this is Highway 37, 71. This is 71, and we are— we've just come to our, like, my sister-in-law's house, and we're going back. This highway is nothing big deal, like India has highways like this. All over now, so it's not a big thing. Sky is wonderful today. The sky is dark, cloudy, but in general the sky is really blue and you see lovely floating clouds. Like today already, we while coming we saw lovely clouds, but now it's really cloudy. The vegetation you can see, it's almost like any other country. It's it's all deciduous forest, deciduous vegetation mostly. Some of them are conifers. But it's it's very restricted over here. A lot of I don't know. I personally like Canada a lot better. Canada has a lot of freedom, a lot of culture, much much more than America. America people. People are scared to wear just their normal dresses. I mean, to go out on this road, they're scared. They're thinking twice about what dress they're going to wear and what kind of activities they should indulge in because apparently there is an unwritten law for brown skins in Canada and blacks, obviously. But in America, I'm sorry. But in Canada, everybody's— you can just wear a third eye on your forehead and go out. Nobody cares. So it's slightly disheartening to know that America, that golden country, has such restrictions. And the restrictions apparently are increasing these days. So I'm really sorry about this feeling. I really feel sorry because lots of people all around the world are chasing American dreams, and then they come here and get disappointed. It's slightly sad. Yeah, I guess so. I will always love Canada. Bye-bye, take care.
