Don't just blame China, India is equally at fault for this 2nd wave

In this emotionally charged vlog, the speaker shares personal grief after losing friends and family to COVID‑19 and explains why she felt compelled to speak out. She critiques the narrative that places sole blame on China for the pandemic, noting recent conspiracy theories and media reports about a lab‑origin. The core argument is that India’s own policies and actions—particularly election‑driven decisions, massive gatherings like the Kumbh Mela, and widespread public complacency regarding mask‑wearing—significantly contributed to the devastating second wave. She recounts her own experiences traveling from India to Canada, the arduous quarantine process, and multiple COVID tests, highlighting the personal risk she faced. The speaker urges viewers to adopt personal responsibility: proper mask usage (including detailed technique), vaccination, and avoiding large gatherings. She contrasts the situation in Canada, where case numbers and deaths are lower despite slower vaccination, with the severe impact in India. The vlog ends with a plea to stop scapegoating China alone and to collectively act to curb the virus.

Hello everybody, so how are you doing? I am— I was so shocked and in such a state of shock for so many days to do any videos, you know. So I was, I was in, uh, I was like grieving almost for my friends, their families, and people, so many people I know Who fell a victim to COVID, so it was quite impossible for me to do any videos, right? And I just hope all of you are okay. I just hope you guys are okay, and you know, I can just hope. That's it. So my point of coming today to make the video is because. I was looking at the China angle today, and there's one report. This is my arthritis band. My hands are affected by arthritis. So the China angle that is that had been in the उन्हें दिन थोड़े टचुलचिलो को मैंने कोता बात टचुलचिला में बांग्ला बुलची करोने की बांग्ला सुनते हैं शायद। so it's been going on this this what's it called? the conspiracy theory has been going on for quite some time now, but recently the thing came to light when CNN got hold of one of the reports that the coronavirus is a man-made virus. Which either escaped from the lab or it was leaked on purpose. Yeah, that rickshaw is painted by me. So thank you. And so that is something we really have to now we have to really look up and say what's going on? What is going on with China? So let me fix the handle of the video. Yeah, so what is this going on? Is this for real? What is happening? So, uh, like, I was very, very upset on the thing, but when I was looking at some of the news channels, I found they were, they were putting the entire blame on China completely, the, uh, about the 4th wave. So it's like a 3rd— sorry, 2nd wave in India. So they were saying it's China planted the virus. It was like as if China planted the virus. No, you guys are either trying to whitewash the government's moves, or you're trying to be you know be an escapist. Did you forget how much I was in India when this happened? अमी चीला मुखाने, अमी देखे ची कातरे कातरे लोग ज्वाइनिंग तू गो तू फॉर द इलेक्शंस। I have seen people without mask, like they were the mask was they were wearing the mask below एक हने पूरा चे, ना कि एक हने पूरे ना एक हने पूरा चे, काने पूरा चे। They're not wearing the mask at all. They're wearing it here. So did you forget all that? From January to April March I was there in India. I have seen हाथे हाथे गुने गुने देख के चिन people I used to scream at people that why aren't you wearing a mask? मास पर निकाला था मैं मैंने कोई बोलता हूँ अपनी मास पर निकालो तो did you forget that that you went into a complacency and then did you forget that there was holy कोतोटा होली थे कोतोटा बाराबरी रखो मैं लोग जो खिले से दौड़-दौड़ी कुरे से शिटा मुझे भूलेगा से people forgot the कुम्भ मेला 5 million people were bathing at the Ganges River every day, and who was wearing a mask over there? No one. They look like they came from some other planet. They do not belong here. And now you're blaming China. Okay, China is to be blamed, definitely, no doubt about it. What they did is unpardonable. They have to pay for their sins. But this second wave in India was man-made. It was made by the government of India. It was made by each and every state government because they wanted elections. They wanted to win their elections. Even in Bengal, Mamata Banerjee declared that it was a pandemic only after the elections results were out. Declared the people, meaning people were getting affected. Atululok morche, atululok affected. The numbers came out only after the election results were out. How? कोतोटा बुका हमरा, आमदेर कोतोटा बुका भावो। Really? Seriously? And when you I I am living abroad. I live abroad. I stay in Canada, and people tell me that, "अखाने ठाकुर तुम्हें किचुई जानो ना कर शम्मत." Really? Really? I've spent there three months just now. And I came here, I was on the road. You guys saw my videos, you saw how much I was on the road in autorickshaws and buses and like in metro. I wasn't in the metro, but yeah, I was eating in the restaurant. Nobody was wearing a mask at that time. In fact, I too declared that it was almost like we had won COVID. We had, uh, we already have COVID, won COVID already. So I too declared kind of in one of my videos, you'll see that I kind of took off the mask and said mask-free days are here. I too made a mistake. I am owning up. Why can't you own up? I'm a common person. I'm owning up that I made a mistake. I underestimated this virus. This virus is not, not to go away soon like this. Not very soon it's going to go away. So I don't know how else we can bring this into control. I think the numbers are dipping now, which is why I made a much shawsholo video recorder. Otherwise, I was in total shock and I was grieving practically. So numbers are now dipping. Now we have to be so careful unless everybody is vaccinated. And what was India thinking when he was it was give they were giving away vaccines to other countries? What was India thinking? Lak lak kuti kuti vaccine given away, dan kore chalo ke loon loon ke, and now they don't have vaccines of their own. I am so, so angry with the government of India. I am so angry with the system. This is the same system that made me leave India. But I'm not saying Canada is great. Yeah, एक हनो there is dip in vaccination, there is slow vaccination rate. But at least people, I think common लोग के खाने that there's some sparse people that daily cases are not that high. The daily deaths also not that high. Maybe twenty, twenty-five people are dying every day. That's that's really true. That's true here too. It's only like three thousand, four thousand people are getting affected. Last time I heard it was eight thousand people getting affected. And 20, 25, 30, 80 people a day dies, which is like a spike. So this happens here, it's fine. This is fine, but this is not devastating like the way it happened in India. And India actually brought it under control. India actually brought it under control. And we were wondering how did it not affect India so much. There were so many conspiracy theories going on that because we had the probably the BCG vaccine, you know, like that kind of wards off the coronavirus. So we kind of had all kinds of theories going on because Indian people have more immunity and lots of theories are going on. But frankly speaking, we took it all for granted. We took it so much for granted. We shouldn't have taken it for granted. We shouldn't have, we shouldn't have let so much complacency come in. And people were not scared at all, not even now. Even now I see people going to marriage occasions and ceremonies and birthday parties. I mean, can't you wait? There are people literally dying next door and you are celebrating in your home. I am living 12,000 kilometers away. I cannot breathe. I cannot, like, I cannot be normal looking at all the figures, what's happening. The bodies floating in Ganges. And Jamuna, how much of a horror movie can this be? We've been all waiting for the world to end, the end of the world 2012, and all kinds of things that has that has happened in the past. And this is the end of the world. Look at it this way. This is the end of the world, and China has done this. China has brought about this end of the world. We should all condemn China, but China is not the only reason. Each individual country has has their own reasons to let this virus go out of control. You can do it. You can still mask up and still the masking is the only way out. And mask cover till here, like underneath your glasses. You have to cover your mask so. So that there is no space left for any air to enter. You will breathe in through the mask. You will have no difficulty breathing. If you have some difficulty breathing, then just pull it down for a while. You know, if you're in that— if you're in an open space where there's no people around, you can pull it down for a while and then pull it up again when you come in contact with anybody. It's very simple. Why isn't this— why aren't people getting this? This is so serious. This is so serious. And thing is, thing is that unless it happens to you, you don't take it seriously. Unless, I mean, even a person next to you is dying, you will think that's not going to happen to you. No, I have been seeing so many of my friends asking for oxygen for their loved ones. So many of my friends sisters and brothers have died. So many of my relatives have died. Actually, I cannot take it anymore. I cannot take it anymore. And I came back at the nick of time. I don't know how I got back. You don't— you won't want to know how I got back. I got back through a war zone, practically. Practically through a war zone. All planes were shutting down. And I came back by, uh, like almost by one of the last few flights. I had my testing done 5 times. I had to get into a hotel for quarantine, and then I had my testing done again and again and again. And then I had to be in quarantine for 14 days in my own home. Yeah. Okay. So it is. It was a hell, hell for me too. But guys, please, please mask up and do not come in contact with anybody. Do do not try to maintain distance. I know it's difficult in India. It's difficult to maintain distance. आमी जोतवार किसी people were like here standing here next to me. So luckily, I don't know how I did not get COVID because I was out in the streets. I was in the market. I was constantly. You guys saw me. How was I was always there. I don't know how I did not get it, but whatever it is, for God's— with God's grace, I did not get it. But please, I'm very worried about you guys. Please mask up and do not blame everything on China. China did this, definitely, but we can react and we can push this virus off if we do our part. Take care. I've never said it with so much I've never meant it so much. Take care and stay safe. Thank you for watching.
