This is a YouTube walking-vlog/report titled "EMERGENCY IN ONTARIO: Roads are empty" (posted March 18, 2020). A single narrator (speaking in a mix of Hindi and English) walks through a neighborhood in Ontario during the province's state of emergency—reporting empty roads, reduced bus service, closed in-store cafes (Starbucks), library closures, border restrictions for non-residents, and other local observations (including squirrels and online grocery delivery). The speaker briefly mentions her son, compares the situation to past emergencies in India, gives hygiene/safety advice, and expresses hope the situation will pass soon.

So we've come out for a walk. And I'll just walk you through the my neighborhood. Okay, that's my son. He's wearing mask. I'm not wearing a mask. I'm just wearing a woolen mask because it's very cold. Because it's very cold. Okay, so oh God! My eyes getting fogged. My glasses are getting fogged. Okay. So we are here. This is relatively empty. This place usually has a lot of cars, but it's quite empty now. Let's go down the main road. Baba, he's always— okay, so cars are relatively empty. Like, it doesn't look like a weekday, it looks like a weekend. I hope you can hear me because I am mouthing my words very well, very tenderly, so that you can hear me. Most of you say I mumble, but it's so cold over here that your lips freeze, and which is why I'm mumbling. I keep mumbling. Okay, this is a telephone booth, an old telephone booth. I don't know, I don't know whether anybody uses it, but it's still there. Okay, today I just ordered online grocery because grocery is available online now. Let's see, it's going to arrive on Thursday. Let's see how it is. Okay, there's that— there's a bus. I'll show you how good the bus services here are. 210 University Express to see station. Actually, the buses are like planes. Oh my God, this looks very empty. This is— this road looks very empty. Look empty. And this is the gas station. There's a bank over here and that Starbucks, uh, right over there. Starbucks, that's us haunt. But these days you cannot sit inside, so you can just grab and go. Is that a squirrel? Luckily, no, no animals are affected in this, and I feel it's a way of like payback for nature's payback time for humans to be so cruel for so long. If you want to be just Here it is. Canada has closed all its borders to all non-citizens and non-residents. Finally, except for US. US people can travel in and out. I don't know whether it's good or bad, but it's obviously due to the bilateral whatever between the two countries. But US, I guess, will not allow Canadians for a long time. Okay, so. Here we are at the Starbucks. I don't know whether we can sit inside. I don't think so. That's there, it's just message. We are temporarily closed. We are temporarily closed in-store cafe. You can still order ahead through the Starbucks app. And pick up at the door, so it's all pick up. All these stores are open so far, so but you can see so few cars and so few people. There are no people at all. Okay, totally. Oh, there's a squirrel! Oh my God, there's a squirrel! Can you see the squirrel? Yeah, he's crossing the road with a nut in his mouth. Busy as usual. He has no clue of what's happening to human beings all around the world. So we can cross the road from anywhere because there are no cars at all. He's hiding it somewhere. Where is he hiding it? Oh my God, he went into this Did you see that? He went into this thing and he's hidden and hidden his nuts there. Awesome! This is what we call cashew in Canada. They grow all year round almost, just right after before they have bigger bridges and they're growing all the time. Shaden Branch Library is on the right-hand side. It's closed now. Everything is closed except for banks and ATM counters. Most of the banks are closing down, and most branches are closing down. ATMs are open. Ontario has declared a state of emergency today. Hours back. So we are in a walking in the state of emergency. We are right now walking on the roads, though I have seen the emergencies in India a lot of number of times during the, uh, Indira Gandhi assassination, number one. Number two, during Babri Masjid demolition, we've seen Curfew, not emergency, but we've seen curfew a lot, and during Hindu Muslim riots, also during the Bumrah attack, I think. So this is nothing new, nothing scary for us, but it's scary for the new generation who are facing it for the first time. So, so we're going to Tim Hortons, the joint that we went yesterday. Yeah. To eat. And so we'll see you. This is the state of emergency, and the sun is setting. One more day over. I just hope this passes soon. Let's hope for this month's end, and everything will be okay. Just take care. Keep your hands washed and sanitized. Keep your mouth covered as much as possible. Don't touch anything much. That's about it. Keep. Keep washing your hands. Keep safe. Be happy. Bye-bye.
