In this podcast‑style announcement, Kaberi Dutta Chatterjee invites viewers to join her live YouTube broadcast of the April 8 total solar eclipse that will pass over the Hamilton‑Niagara region in Canada. She shares her personal history of witnessing a total eclipse in Kolkata in 1995, describing the experience as life‑changing and noting that she will be fortunate to see totality a second time. Kaberi provides the exact timing (approximately 2:14 PM to 3:19 PM local), encourages viewers everywhere to look up at the sky, and stresses that this particular eclipse will not be visible from the same region again for another 274 years. She mentions that Toronto schools will be closed on the day for safety reasons, and she warns against using cheap or improvised viewing methods such as dollar‑store glasses or X‑ray plates. Instead, she recommends government‑certified eclipse glasses available from reputable retailers like Walmart, Canadian Tire, or Amazon. The discussion also touches on the influx of eclipse chasers, the crowded conditions expected at Niagara, and the option for Canadians to travel to Mexico for viewing. Throughout, Kaberi repeatedly asks listeners to subscribe and enable notifications so they won’t miss the live coverage.

Hello friends, so this is a very important podcast and very important announcement from my channel Frontline and Chat. Please subscribe to it if you haven't because I will be covering the solar eclipse live, and this— I'm so lucky to to experience this totality twice in my lifetime. Once it was in Kolkata on October 24th, 1995, and this time also I am in the path of totality. So we will be going to Hamilton or Niagara to cover this, and I want you to— it will be live on YouTube, so please be there. Please, please subscribe and ring the notification bell. So it's going to be on April 8th, and April 8th and In Canada, near Hamilton and near Niagara area, it's going to be from 2 o'clock. It starts at around 2:14 and ends at peaks at 3:19 PM. So if you're even if you're not going anywhere near Hamilton or in Niagara area, you can just look up in the sky wherever you are. Just look up in the sky and you'll see the eclipse. And do not forget to watch the ambience. That's the fun part of it. That's the marvelous part of it. I can tell you one thing. Once you watch a solar eclipse, your life will never be the same again. That much I can guarantee you. I have been a different person after 1995, after watching that eclipse. So that will make you change you. And I'll tell you why this thing is so important because you won't be able to see this this celestial phenomenon in another 274 years. Particularly from this region. So if you're going to be chasing solar eclipse, that's fine. I'm not a chaser, but I just happen to witness two in my lifetime. I think I'm blessed. This this this information I just got that Toronto schools are going to be closed for that day. It's ridiculous because you know you would want your kids to come and join in the field and watch the eclipse together. That's that's a very ridiculous thing I just learned. And some of the Toronto schools are going to be closed because they don't want to take the responsibility. Of any kind of physical harm done on the kids. But kids these days are very, very smart. They won't let— they'll wear the glasses, I'm sure. And glasses are very, very important. Do not buy them from dollar store or any other cheap joints. Buy an expensive one, which is some government-certified ones, so that, you know, you can use them to watch the sun, watch the sun. And I Actually, in our days we used to use X-ray plates. You know, we used to use X-ray plates in our days, and we would watch this eclipse. So we didn't have any glasses in our times. But yeah, the eyes haven't— cornea hasn't been damaged as yet. I think it's because of the cornea. But definitely you should not try that. Extra plates is very risky. So try the glasses, buy them from a respectable store, and or you can get them online on Amazon. I got them online. But yeah, look up in the sky during that time, you know, and you can get those glasses from Dollar Store and all this stuff. Yeah, yeah, Dollar Store. Don't get the glasses from Dollar Store. I'm not very sure about the glasses from Dollar Store. You can get them from online. Online? Yeah, you can get them in Walmart. Trust Walmart. Walmart because Walmart will have this glasses.
Walmart, Canadian Tire. I saw Canadian Tire too.
Canadian Tire, yeah, they will have the glasses.
Some people go to Mexico.
Some people do, yeah.
People go to Mexico. Yeah. Because as a Canadian, you don't need visa to Mexico.
Yeah.
Just buy flight ticket and go.
Buy now because lots of— there are lots of eclipse chasers, you know, who are going to Mexico. In fact, in Niagara, the entire scientific community is descending on Niagara. It's going to be chock-a-block. Be careful, do not, uh, go on PBW. It's It's going to be like very, uh, you know, it's going to be very crowded on PVW. You can see the totality with naked eyes, the total eclipse with naked eyes. You can see that. And this is the path that the eclipse is going to go through. And you can— I'll give you the map of the path the eclipse is going through. And all those who are watching this on this path, please, please watch it wherever you are. This is going to change your life dramatically. So take care. Yeah, so just keep watching. So guys, please, please subscribe and please ring the notification bell so that you get the YouTube live video covering, provided we have a clear sky.
