The speaker discusses the Ram Janmabhoomi/Ayodhya controversy, the historicity of the Ramayana, the 1992 Babri Masjid demolition, communal violence and political uses of religion, and calls for unity and a non-communal, spiritual view. The monologue includes personal anecdotes (family background, experiences of riots), references to her book (WTF, I Found God), occasional cultural commentary (dietary choices), and a cosmic perspective using the James Webb Telescope image to argue against communalism.

Hello everybody, thanks for tuning in to Frontline and Chai. We are here for a very, very special reason. You know why, right? I didn't need to tell you. The greatest economy, one of the greatest economies in the world, striving to be the 3rd greatest economy in the world, is in a frenzy. Watch the video to see what it is. Keep— bring your cup of chai and let's discuss. So today we are going to discuss what is this Ram frenzy justified. I don't know whether, um, any of you is still, you know, you have your feet on the ground, but look at the country, look at the all the channels, like everywhere I go I mean like do you at all even sit down and think? Do do and does anybody have anybody read Ramayan? Do any of you have have you any of you read Ramayan? It's by Dhruv Ratche. I keep watching his videos. His videos are very good. तो उसका उसका पूरा explanation है रमायण का इस video में तो please link मैं दे देती हूँ and you're welcome through रात्रि if you're watching this you're welcome so thing is that if you've read रमायण you will know throughout it's never a historical figure it's been it's written in the some fourth or fifth century BC And it is a it's a महाकाव्य. It's a an epic, a story, कहानी है. Nobody knows. No historians have said he's he's there. He was there. He was he's a figure to be. He was a he was an ultimate figure of manhood apparently who kind of live. Jesus lived. Right? So we know Jesus lived. We don't know whether Krishna or Ram lived because they lived like so many years ago, even if they did, that we have no, no evidence of them living, right? And scientists and historians have not been able to prove their existence, leave alone Ram being born in that particular place where Babri Masjid was built. That's absolutely incorrigible. I felt it even in, in 1992 when Ram Babri Masjid was demolished, and I feel it even now. I felt it even then that it was an unjust— being a Hindu myself, okay, I was born in a Hindu family, but I do not follow Hindu religion as such. I just, I'm just totally a non-partisan kind of a person. I don't have any religion. I don't— in fact, I don't, do not believe in my, in religion. You know, from my book WTF, I Found God. And I'll just show you the book. Okay, this is the book that I've written. So you might find it very, um, uh, like blasphemous. The title might sound blasphemous, but check it out. It's not— it's blasphemous for a reason, but check it out. This book is about how to connect science and religion and spiritualism and God. So it is a connection between science. Actually, I try to prove that there is God, but you don't have to have a religion to find God. You can find God yourself. Okay, so that is what the book is about. And those who are little scientific-minded and those who are little sensible, you know, like logical, go on logical path, can read this book. People of my age, women of my age, they are doing pujas every day. They are doing, uh, karva chauth. And all kinds of things I don't even know. Because a little bit about myself, why I'm like this, is because my grandfather, he had— he used to build sculptures, small miniature Durgas and Kalis. One of them I have with me, this one. He was a staunch Marxist, he was a staunch communist, so he didn't even believe in Religion, we will not believe in God. But he used to decorate. We we had a Durga Puja in our own home. So I was born in a family where everybody was doing uposha and fasting And my my aunt actually died of gastric ulcer क्योंकि वो तीन बजे तक सवेरे पांच बजे से लेके तीन बजे तक वो कुछ नहीं खा पीती थी वो कुछ नहीं खाती थी कि ना भगवान को समर्पण करना है मैं ये सब देखके बड़ी हुई हूँ उसके बाद से मेरा रिलिजन से और ये सबसे एकदम लगाप चला गया but I was born in in a street जहाँ पे हिंदू सम बीच में थी हिंदू हिंदू houses बीच में थी the street का इस तरफ मुस्लिम houses थे उस उसके end में Christian houses था तो दिस रोड एंटायर रोड वाज़ वेरी कॉस्मोपॉलिटन सो आज तू वेकअप आज़ाद सुनके मैं बड़ी हुई हूँ एवरीडे मॉर्निंग में आज़ाद सुनके बड़ी हुई हूँ तो मुझमें कोई रिलिजन का भेदभाव नहीं है इसीलिए मैं इतना एंटी रिलिजियस बातें करती हूँ मैं बीफ खाती हूँ जो आप लोगों ने बहु I don't believe in all this. You kill a, kill an animal, you kill an animal. It can be a cow, it can be a horse, it can be a snake, it can be a fish. You, you're just killing an animal for eating. It can be a goat. It doesn't matter what you kill. If you kill, you kill. If you're turning veg, it's fine. Like, I have turned almost veg now. I rarely eat meat. Sometimes I eat meat. Some— most of the time I'm I don't have any dirt I love eating I'm a I'm married to a Brahmin okay so I love but I love eating beef and I love eating pork I love love eating all kinds of meat but I refrain from eating it now I've become becoming a veg by choice that is a different story altogether. But let's get back to the original. Ram Janma Bhumi, Ayodhya. First of all, Ram is a wispy character. Nobody knows whether he existed really, हाँ? What is this going on? Are we turning into Hindu Talibans? You know Talibans अपना देश में जब वो महाबुद्धि का मूर्ति blast किया था, हमने बहुत उसका we we spoke a lot against it हाँ we called them Talibans right? What did what are we doing? We demolished Babri Masjid, such a historical monument, brick by brick. I remember that day. I remember that day very clearly. I was not yet— I was just beginning my career, and I remember that day I was crying. I remember one of— a lot of my colleagues were present on that Demolition site, and they were all Hindus, and they were just crying when they saw this happen. Because Taj Mahal is India's pride, right? It's the one of the seven wonders of the world. Now you will not demolish that, right? So you're बहुत बहुत clever हो। जो this is very convenient Hinduism, very convenient. And we are turning into Talibans every day. Don't you think so? So do not blame the Taliban for being what they are. Do not blame the Muslim countries for my for segregating Hindus and burning their temples. We are doing the same thing here. So, so it's okay to have a reverence and, you know, unite the country and Hindus all over the world in the name of Ram Mandir. Definitely it is good, but do it as a peace process, uh, peace thing, and not as an anti-thing against Muslims. Now let me tell you one small thing over here before, uh, you jump into the conclusion that I am pro-Muslims or pro-Hindu, anti-Hindu, or whatever. I'm not anti-anybody because I know what Muslims did. My own father suffered in the hands of Muslim riots, in the hands of Muslims. My father, he saw in his own eyes, with his own eyes, he saw a Hindu person getting killed, slaughtered in front of his eyes. He saw this man's intestines fall out. He saw it with his own eyes. He ran from his, uh, this place where I was talking to you, the neighborhood. That Neighbourhood is so friendly otherwise. I I knew my shopkeepers who were chacha, who were I was very small that time, so I don't remember their names. Why? Because it was politically instigated. These people went against Hindus because it was politically instigated. Now this entire Ram Namandir is political. You must be knowing that, right? It's a way of politically in turning the country into a Hindu country and uniting India in the name of Hinduism. Now Muslims, please don't feel Like isolated because I don't feel you being you being wrong because this is all karma. Like one incident happens is action against reaction, action and reaction. तो अगर आज हम ये action reaction को रोके, if we do not go anti-Muslim but you know unite everybody towards spiritualism in any form. Be it Ram Mandir, be it Taj Mahal, be it any other church. Please, you know, Taj Mahal is not a masjid, but it's monument. But if you can, you know, respect history and Babri Masjid में जो shame हुआ था, Babri Masjid को demolish करके जो shame मिला था हमें, वो अगर if we stop it now, it's like 1992. So how many years have passed? From there. So we should have evolved, right, as a society. So if we can stop it here right now and unite everybody, this is our only golden chance. We will stop this action and reaction continuously. Like Muslims tortured us, Muslims came to our country, tortured, plundered us, plundered our wealth, this, that. So we are now torturing them. This is going to go on, an eye for an eye, continuously. When is this going to stop? Even my dad suffered in the hands of Muslims. Now all these people who are doing this Khalistani movement, a few of my friends are there doing the Khalistani movement, inside that Khalistani movement. My childhood friends from college, okay, they are into Khalistani movement. Now they are saying that government has done this to their grandfathers and their fathers. I was witness to Indira Gandhi's assassination. I was witness to it, like, not in front of my eyes, but I was there when it happened. And I remembered how the Sikhs were burnt. I know how it feels. I know how terrible it is. But if you're going to continue with it, then how are you different? You are the same person. If you're going to continue this entire strategy of You know, eye for an eye, action against reaction. When will we evolve as a society? Can you see this thing behind me? Let me show it to you a little more closely. Okay, you know what is this? I don't know, I think half of you— this is my son's room, by the way— more than half of you would not know what is this. Look carefully. This is James Webb Telescope's first image of the universe. Of this, each and every, each and every dot that you see is one galaxy, like the galaxy that we live in. You're the only life form, man. Get your bearings. Look at your people around you. Do you see Muslims? Do you see Hindus? Do you see whites? Do you see blacks? You just see life. I don't know whether I'm reaching any talibans or not. But if you are listening to my podcast, please understand. Please try to understand. Look up. सिर्फ एक बार तारे को देखो, एक बार देखो कितनी lonely है आम, कितनी छोटी है, yet we are so important. We are the only, only living creatures life in this entire universe. तो मेरा ये करना था, ये बोलना था कि आप लोग राम जन्मभूमि राम मंदिर को लेके there's a frenzy going on in the entire India. Please control yourselves and get all everybody involved in it. And Muslims, please do not think that this is Hindu. Religion kind of thing. Whatever has happened has happened. We cannot undo it. We are sorry for Babri Masjid. I am personally sorry to all the Muslims for demolishing Babri Masjid because I seen the I'd seen the frenzy and Thank you guys for watching.
