Hey guys, how are you doing today? I hope storm has passed over, but there is another storm coming as you know. So generally I'm still concerned how are you going to cope with that. But that storm is just like any other kalbushaki, so I don't think it should be a problem for you guys. It's very hot now. It's also very hot outside, very sunny and very hot for the past two days. You can see the sunlight. It's very hot. It's almost like Kolkata summer in Kolkata. It's like बौछुन तो करें spring in Kolkata. So it's we are still doing with the fans after it reaches and by July we will have to install in window ACs. That is we have small ACs. which are going to be installed in the window frames. And, uh, we also have a portable AC, which— so we have those ACs and they are inbuilt. You can just put them in the power plug behind the cushions and they just run. You don't need any extra additional, um, anything for the ACs. I have them in the balcony, so I have them covered for 8 months in the balcony, you know. So, okay. Let me give you the good news. Very good news which I want to share right now with you. And yeah, I have an official invitation from Mauno. I don't know how they found me. So this is Joanna from Mauno taking charge of marketing. Okay, so I don't know whether you can read it. Okay, I'll read after. We would love to invite you to test our newly released product. Sincerely, We've been selling on Amazon and the product is a microphone. So they think that I am an influencer. I don't know whether I'm an influencer as yet, but I believe I— they found me and they want to test their microphone. So they'll probably send me a microphone and I'll, I'll test my recording on a microphone. So all those who complain for, uh, that I mumble, I'm sure I just hope, you know, you get a better— you get to hear me better. So, um, at least I got a selfie stick for you guys, and I'm holding it, so I cannot really show it to you. Uh, yeah, I can show it to you, but I have to take it out, and I don't know, I don't want to risk, uh, the camera, or, you know, like, button, whatever. So That's about it for this vlog right now. It's a daily musing vlog. Oh yes, and I've changed the name of the vlog. It's called Canada Musings. So I think I'll change it to Canada Daily Musings. Oh no, Canada Musings should be good. Canada Musings, like it's just musings from Canada, and in the process you get to know me, I get to know you if you write to me, and we get to learn about each other, and we get to— you get to know so much about our daily lives in Canada. So daily life in Canada for me as a Bengali. I am watching G2Bish contract 24 hours, almost 24 hours, and then I'll shift to Sony channel. This is our daily life. So we, we don't have— we don't— I'm going to eat rice and fish for lunch now. It's almost 3 o'clock. I should go for my lunch. And, um, and what else? And we have roti and roti and sabji and chicken for dinner. So there is nothing, nothing has changed except for the location. And of course, Canada encourages that. Canada is a country which encourages a lot of— encourages this kind of like multiculturalism. That's called multiculturalism. So there are shops and stores where you get everything, everything, whatever you need. Like, not only me, supposing somebody's come from Thailand or somebody's moved in from Jamaica, they'll get exactly whatever they need. So you'll find there's a video I just recently uploaded. I was at a South Asian— not a South Asian store, which is like a Thailand Thai store. You get everything over there, and I found a chore. That's incredible because their vegetables match so much with Bengal's vegetables. So it's incredible. It's kind of incredible because I one day found thankuni pata. I don't know how many of you heard of thankuni pata. We used to have it when we were kids, and thankuni pata was thankuni leaves are boiled with vegetables when you when you have a stomach upset. So my mother used to cook that thankuni leaves. So I don't know how many of you have know about it, but I found that in an Asian market. So I find punshak in an Asian market. I find— I'm just checking whether it's recording or I'm talking blankly to somebody. I find punshak in a market. I find, uh, what else do I find? Something interesting. Mangoes, of course, we saw the other day. And I find ata, ata, and jackfruit. Bottle, I don't know why it's such a rare vegetable in Bengal. We like some people hate bottle. Please let me know who hates bottle. Oh my God, it's so delicious! Yesterday my husband cooked aloo potli with dalna. My husband, like Ronnie, cooked aloo potli with dalna. It was quite good. He gave jire bata, ada bata, and jire moro, jire coriander. I'll tell you the recipe. He first fried the potatoes and fried the potato, cut them into small chunks and then fried them. And then he added— I told him to add panch phurok and then a little bit of green chillies in the oil and then fry them again all together. Then add ada bata. Ginger paste, coriander, and cumin, and also a little bit of gold morris. It is pepper, black pepper powder. So he added those and he made a fantastic aloo potli tarkari for dinner last evening. So I ate it, so I cannot show you, but it was quite done, quite nice. And I don't know how people do not like potli. You must come and stay in Canada where you don't get potol, and then you'll find realize the value of potol and the value of pepe and value of chichingi and value of jeeni. Yeah, you get them, but very rare. Definitely you get them, but in specific markets, you know. So I have to go to an Indian market to get those particular products. You get everything, and. Apparently some people were very interested in my short stories, so I'll be uploading more of my short stories. I'll kind of do a podcast or just read it out. I think reading it out, it would be a better option than, um, hearing. So I'll just read it out and you guys can enjoy the short stories because they're all on Amazon. But I think reading is a big, big problem for people these days. They like to see and listen. I mean, even I would like to do that instead of going on the book. If somebody reads out a story to me, I would be nice. I'd be happy, though I'm a writer myself, but I don't like reading. So you guys enjoy. Have a very healthy time wherever you are. I hope the current is back, and in Calcutta, most parts of Calcutta was destroyed, and I'm very sad. to hear that the Great Banyan Tree in Botanical Gardens was also damaged. So you take care and keep watching my channel. Just hope— keep writing to me, okay? Write to me, write, give comments, whatever you want to. Just leave a comment. And this is— so the fans are on. The fans are on. And that fan is on and it's very hot now.
