I'm gonna start with my favorite. Ta-da! For all your beautiful glassware. You know how we have— when we design kitchens and we have these spaces and we don't know what to do with them, we end up just having spice rack? This is creativity at best.
See, that's what I mean. The most expensive kitchens aren't the ones that show you the most. They're the ones that hide the most beautifully.
We're at the Design Centre in London, and we, at the moment, we're at Modern British, and they have probably the best kitchens I have ever seen in my entire life. And I really want to show you some really cool features that they have. Let's go in.
But I don't want you to just look at these features. I want you to understand them. I'm going to give you 4 kitchen design ideas from this showroom that you can use in your own home on any budget. Idea number 1, a luxury kitchen never shows its clutter. Look at this corner. Most of us leave corners dead, don't we?
This corner right here. So you tap this. It's like eye candy.
Tap and it's gone.
Ta-da! For all your beautiful glassware. You know how we have, when we design kitchens and we have these spaces and we don't know what to do with them, we end up just having spice rack? This is creativity at best.
So when you're planning your kitchen, look at every corner and ask one question: What can this hide?
There's another cool feature I want to talk about. So this island right here is not just a decorative piece. Watch this. Wow.
Idea number 2: Nothing in your kitchen should be just pretty. It has to work too.
This right here is actually 24-karat gold that they have painted on here. Oh, look at this. This is for your spice, so you're not like digging in and turning your spice bottles. Like, visually everything is right there for you.
And look how they use the gold. It's just one detail. That's the secret to making a kitchen look royal. If you put gold everywhere, it gets heavy. Keep it to one place and it feels special. Idea number 3, and I love this for kitchens with open spaces.
Beautiful divider that they have in the middle works beautifully as it divides the kitchen and the dining and provides a lot of storage.
You don't need a wall, you need furniture that separates the space. That's smart design. And idea number 4, pick materials that can handle real life, not just a photo shoot.
Behind me has some really nice features around the oven that I want to show you guys, and also the countertops are made from porcelain, meaning you can take your pans out of the oven and put directly onto the countertops. It's that durable. So this right here, you can store your oils, any sort of things. Look at this.
Choose surfaces you'll actually cook on without worrying. That's what keeps a kitchen looking timeless 10 years from now.
This is by far one of the best kitchen displays I have ever seen.
If you ever visit, here's my ultimate tip so you don't get overwhelmed. Browse first, ask questions, and then go back for the pieces you truly connected with.
