The thing I learned as an immigrant about the United States of America is that this whole country is ran by systems. The welfare system, the insurance systems, the financial systems, the healthcare systems, you name it, the legal system. And acknowledging that those systems do have a place in our society, not shutting them down 110%, right? Just being open to those systems and also Not allowing those systems to dictate your life and take orders for your own life. You have to take control of your life, and you have— and they have to take orders from you. But also, you need to understand when to back off.
