If you think about networking, especially when you're newer to it or you're newer to the group and you're just getting to know all the group members that are in your group, think about spending 10 hours every single week in networking. 10 hours in networking is basically from a standardized perspective, it's 25% of your entire week's capacity. That's a lot of capacity you are burning through networking. And the thing about networking is it's a long game. It's not going to pay your bills today. It's not going to pay your bills tomorrow. It's not even going to pay your bills or help you meet your goals if you are employed by somebody and it's a performance-based job in 3 months or so, because it's such a long-term game. This is why visibility beats networking all day long.
