Here's 3 common supplements that you actually need to avoid because they will hurt you. Number 1, taking too much calcium. High calcium levels in the blood from supplements can promote arterial stiffness, blood coagulation, and heart disease. Number 2, taking too much vitamin E. Excessive vitamin E can interfere with blood clotting, leading to an increased risk of bleeding. A study published in JAMA found that taking high doses of vitamin E can actually raise the risk of prostate cancer in men as well. Number 3, straight caffeine powders. Going beyond a teaspoon or 3 grams of this powder can actually be deadly. There are many cases of people accidentally overdosing on caffeine powder dying from a heart condition because they miscalculated the dose and didn't realize they had an underlying condition that just needed a push. There's so many supplements and so many claims, it can be hard to navigate. To make things easier, I've made a guide for you.
