Did you know that American-labeled chicken actually comes from China? American-raised chickens are being shipped all the way to China for processing and then flown back to the States for us to eat. And guess what? They're still labeled as American chicken with no mention that this chicken has ever been to China. This fraud has been happening since 2013 and nobody talks about it. China's track record on food safety is extremely bad. We're talking about major health risks with foodborne diseases, not to mention concerns over clean water and sanitation. Yet in 2021, over 50 metric tons of this chicken made its way from China to U.S. dinner tables.
