What is the differentiating factors between people who work hard and reach their goals and people who work hard and don't get where they want to be? And really came down to four different facets. The first is is mentorship, right? And this is something you and I consistently talk about having effective mentors. The second is leadership skills. You got to be able to motivate, guide and move people to get things done because no one accomplishes anything of significance by themselves. The third is strategic relationships, having the ability to develop networks and doing it strategically. And then fourth is political savvy. Again, I love this one because it doesn't matter who you know, how you know them, how smart you are. If you cross the wrong person at the wrong time, your head ends up on the chopping block.
