Kathy Caprino walks through seven steps for quitting your job without burning bridges. Prepare first, write a proper letter, tell your manager before anyone else, set up a smooth handoff, stay professional, keep boundaries, and protect yourself if you've been mistreated.
Seven key.
Steps to resigning in the most effective way possible. I talk about this info a lot with my coaching clients, so I wanted to lay out the steps. Number one Prior to resignation, get fully prepared, including what you need to take with you when you leave, understanding the benefits you're leaving behind, etc. Number two craft an appropriate resignation letter. Number three don't blindside your manager. Number four set the stage for a successful outcome. 5. Keep your cool and demonstrate your professionalism.
Number six don't overshare or violate your own boundaries. And number seven finally, if you have been mistreated in any way, protect yourself before resigning. Hope that helps. Click the link in bio to read the article. And if you need help, you know where I am. I'd love to help you.
