The Pros and Cons of Moving Up to Management with Daisy Chung

Talk to other managers in other departments because when you're in a management role you have a lot more similarities to the HR people manager role to the head of client success role, to the engineering manager than you think. You think that you can relate to everyone in sales but really your, your your skill set in that management role is going to relate a lot more to other people manager and how to hire correctly, how to train correctly, how to, how to fire when you have to all those things it takes to be a good manager, how to motivate, how to inspire, how to level set all that fun stuff. So that's what I would have done differently is to talk to other people and understand different management styles understand the pros and cons from people who have done it especially if it's your first time managing especially if you're managing in the sales department because it's just really, really different than just being a rep who books meetings or closes deals.
