Kristoffer Fürst explains why investment managers choose Limina's full platform over modular alternatives. Fewer licenses cut costs, fewer integrations eliminate vendor fees and internal management overhead, and a single system streamlines workflows so much it often pays for itself.

Last week I was asked how many of our clients use the full front to nav platform, and while the answer is interesting, what's more interesting is the answer to the question why the system is modular. We're mostly known for our oms, but clients end up taking the entire platform anyways, and there are three reasons why. First reason is that with fewer systems there are fewer licenses, so licensing costs go more down. There are also fewer integrations, which ultimately means lower cost, both explicitly through licenses you might pay to a vendor per integration, but also implicitly through the time spent by your team to manage integrations. And the third most important reason is that with one system, workflows can become smooth, end to end, exception based, which ultimately allows your front office and operations team to spend less time on investment management workflows. And this can sometimes dwarf the entire cost of the system.
