Chamblee Charter School

Students, parents, and staff at Chamblee Charter School call it a dream school for its diverse community, strong academics including an engineering lab, and track record sending graduates to top colleges. They emphasize belonging and supportive teachers, but note the school relies on personal donations and needs broader community investment to sustain its work.

It's a dream school. It's a dream school, for me at least. To actually go to this school, I had to move.
One of my favorite parts about Chamblee is definitely the diversity because we have people from literally everywhere. It really opens like new ideas for everyone and everyone gets to kind of like look into— you have a different perspective on people.
I've always loved the English classes.
I think it's really cool how there are people that go to Ivy Leagues, they go to Yale and Harvard, but then there's people that go to Georgia State and Georgia Perimeter College. We're allowed to do whatever we want, but college is definitely one of the best decisions that we can make, both for learning experiences and also for the future.
very, very routinely outperforming their peers all over the country. Again, it's a testament to the hard work that our teachers and staff do to support them to get them there. Our engineering program here is, like, amazing. We have a great lab and 2 awesome teachers.
We're already one of the best schools in the country, I believe, and I want us to become that school that inspires, that innovates and nurtures our children, and also is an example for the rest of the world, that is a school that people look to for the future of education, That a school that people say, that's the right way to do it.
I feel the public education is so important. I just want to make sure the schools here are the best they can be because these kids deserve to have a great education.
And how can we help support them? It's money. It's financial support. We're still at the point where a lot of things we buy out of our own pocket, and so support would be really wonderful. It's, it's truly an investment for the future.
I have 2 older sisters that went to Chamblee, and even though one of them lives in Ohio now, when she comes to visit us, she'll try and come and see her teachers. It's just kind of like you can't not still be connected to Chamblee because there's so many things that connect you here.
It doesn't matter if you have a good day, a bad day, everybody still walks in and they still love you the same. It's just a sense of belonging. People really genuinely care about you.
I walk down the hallways I look at this place in the mornings and I go, this is America. This is America. And it's just beautiful to see.
I tell you, we're in great hands.
These children are just an amazing group of people. I love this place.
