The school highlights impressive outcomes: 100% college acceptance, over $11 million in scholarship offers for the most recent graduating class, 29 Morehead‑Caine scholars, an 8:1 student‑to‑teacher ratio, and a faculty where more than half hold advanced degrees. Partnerships with nearby universities enable high‑school students to conduct independent research, while a focus on global awareness and cultural fluency aims to develop well‑rounded future leaders. The overall tone is enthusiastic and persuasive, inviting families to experience the nurturing community.

We usually build ships. They love to do this. They want to build and they want to design. By providing the open-ended aspect in the classroom, it enables kids to be able to realize, you know, I have to learn to work with others. I get to figure things out and work with it.
The groundwork for a love of learning starts at day one. And we constantly strive for academic excellence while also knowing the importance of teaching moral courage and kindness.
We just don't come on a field trip. This is important work that we're doing. I love baking, so I really wanted to start a baking business, and if I made a big profit, I realized I could use it for charity. And the previous year, I had gone to Loaves and Fishes for a field trip, so I decided to give the $55 I earned to Loaves and Fishes. I think one of the main reasons why we chose Country Day was because of how much they give back to the community.
It kind of emphasizes that they're committed to not just education but also developing well-rounded children. Our graduates have 100% college acceptance. And our last graduating class was offered over $11 million in scholarships for their academic, athletic, and special talents. Our student-to-teacher ratio is 8 to 1, and we proudly graduated hundreds of recognized scholars. In fact, 29 of them have received the prestigious Morehead-Caine Scholarship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. More than half of our teachers hold advanced degrees, and because of their passion and knowledge, Country Day learning goes far beyond the textbook.
We've been studying in class yield and how plants grow and how that helps the world.
Our partnerships with nearby universities allow our students to explore higher-level academic passions and pursuits.

This builds upon her passion for science, but she's also been able to do independent research at the high school level, which is a pretty rare thing, and it's really great that we're able to accommodate her here at Country Day. It's been awesome that at Country Day I've been able to manipulate my curriculum so that as a senior right now I'm taking 3 science classes, which is what I'm passionate about, and And I'm able to really discover what I love.
As we spend valuable childhood time together, yes, we're keenly focused on academics, but we're also focused on global awareness and cultural fluency and ultimately raising well-rounded leaders for tomorrow.
