I work at Carolinas HealthCare System. We do a few drives per year, so we try to get as much stuff as we possibly can for everybody.
Donations and gifts in kind fund Goodwill training programs. Volunteerism and hiring round out a perfect partnership.
We do hire from Goodwill. About a year and a half ago, we got Na from that program. She embodies the goal that we have here with her spirit. Her essence is to make a difference. It's a commitment, and I'm so glad that she was added to this team. I'm grateful to Goodwill for getting her here.
CHS has been such a great partner for so many years that they embody what a little good will actually do, and they are, they are true corporate They're champions for us. They're true corporate partners with us.
It makes me feel good because I know that, you know, as a system, not only are we helping the patients, but we're also trying to help the community as well.
Congratulations, Carolinas Health Care System, Goodwill Corporate Champion 2014.
Good afternoon. Thanks, Charles, and the Goodwill Board of Directors for the important work that you do to make our communities better and stronger. And we thank you for the recognition of Carolina's healthcare system today with the Corporate Champion Award. I'm so proud to represent our 60,000+ teammates and my fellow caregivers who are not only committed to our mission to provide healthcare for the benefit of the people we serve, But they also go above and beyond to support the work of organizations that share a similar commitment to improving the quality of life for our community's most vulnerable. For some, the kinship between Carolina's healthcare system and Goodwill may not be immediately obvious, but for us it is. Both organizations feel a sense of ownership and responsibility for building and sustaining healthy and thriving communities. Goodwill's innovation and creativity turns donations into treasure that provide resources, training, and ultimately job placement to individuals who have struggled to find employment. We recognize and celebrate that when your clients go back to work, they support their families with more than a paycheck. They move forward with dignity and pride, not to mention the ability to provide for the health and well-being of their families. My Carolinas Health Care System teammates often hear me say, we're better together, and today I extend that sentiment to our partnership with Goodwill. There's no doubt that Carolina's healthcare system and Goodwill are better together. Our community is stronger because of the generosity and stewardship of our teams working together. Alone, Carolina's healthcare system and Goodwill are substantial. Together, our work is truly transformative. Thank you for— on behalf of all of my teammates, and congratulations for your great successes over the years.
