The video is a promotional event hosted by Kim Brattain Media that showcases Classroom Central, a nonprofit that provides free school supplies to students in need across North Carolina. Speakers—including teachers, volunteers, students, and the Carolina Panthers mascot Sir Purr—share personal stories about the challenges faced by children who lack basic materials like pencils and notebooks. The organization serves roughly 135,000 students and 9,000 educators across six school districts, emphasizing that supplies are essential tools for learning. Classroom Central operates a retail‑style “shopping cart” system where teachers select items from a free inventory, and it recently launched ClassroomUp, an online ordering platform that delivers supplies directly to schools. Throughout the segment, participants express gratitude, highlight the emotional impact of eliminating supply barriers, and celebrate the community effort behind the program.

It's hard to sharpen your pencils if you don't have nothing to sharpen it with. Sometimes I do my homework, sometimes I can't because I don't have a pencil. Sometimes I have to go— when I go to school, I can borrow a pencil.
Over half of the students in our region live in need.
You know, I work with these kids every day and I want them to be able to learn just like any other kid would learn, and if they don't have the materials, What can you do?
Who here likes surprises? Raise your hand. Well, today we brought you a surprise, and it's school supplies!
Wow!
As of today, we serve 135,000 students across 6 different school districts. That's 9,000 educators. What we do at Classroom Central is critical because more than half of the students in our region live in poverty, and they need supplies to learn.
Every year I have parents come to me with a list supplies saying, I just can't do it. They have to choose between food and clothing or school supplies. So of course food and clothing have to come first.
I don't know what I would do if I didn't have Classroom Central. We believe that every student should have an equal opportunity to learn and succeed. So we know that pencils are not just pencils, copy paper is not just copy paper, it's a real tool that makes a difference for a student in the classroom. Classroom Central is absolutely free. It's free for teachers and it's free for students. When you walk into Classroom Central, you grab a You grab a cart and you grab a list and you shop like you would in any other retail environment and make selections for your students based on what they really need.
Classroom Central is the place where we go shopping to replenish our supplies and meet the needs of our children on a day-to-day basis.
In the last year, we've developed ClassroomUp, which is the first online ordering system of its kind in our country. It allows teachers to get online and order free supplies that are then delivered directly to the school and put into the hands of children and students and allows them to build their dreams.
A classroom teacher right now spends an awful lot of time in a classroom. It really makes it hard to get out and go places when you have things that you have to do here. So it's fabulous. It is absolutely fabulous.
We all want to have impact with our lives, and we all want to live in purpose. And what we do here at Classroom Central has impact every single day.
It makes me feel good that I'm doing something for them.
Children should not have to struggle through anything. There's enough issues in life that they're going to have to face. And for a 2nd grader to have to come in and talk about what it's like to live in the shelter, what it's like to not have a bed, or to have a blanket that they have to share with everybody. It really breaks my heart to see kids have to deal with that.
We are so grateful for the supplies from Classroom Central.
I don't know, we love Classroom Central.
Please welcome the official mascot of the Carolina Panthers, Sir Purr! Classroom Central, what this was for, is a wonderful organization that provides school supplies for schools across North Carolina. Thank you!
Thank you for my notebook. Thank you for my school supplies.
