Congratulations, Cornet Carolina's Executive of the Year, Bruce Sargent of IBM.
He always ensures that the client comes first.
He doesn't just focus on the real estate piece. He thinks about what is best for employees and what will drive engagement. He's transformed our site, which is the 2nd largest site globally for IBM and the largest in North America, to be more modern, agile, open office space.
Bruce likes to do a tour where he starts in one building with the closed-door offices, right? So that was our old environment. Everybody walked behind a door, they closed their door.
Fast forward to today.
Agile workspace is a very open, collaborative type environment.
Now with places to work together, stand-up desks and meeting space, and diner-like booth seating, as well as quiet places to meet, take a phone call, and think.
We've put beanbag chairs, which is not something I ever thought I would see at IBM.
Other additions: this huge video wall and this living wall, bringing the outside in. Jokester.
Bruce is fun. I mean, he, he brings humor to everything.
Bruce is really a great worker, but this is my opportunity to roast Bruce a little bit and, you know, pay him back for all those times that he wasn't quite agreeing with me. Bruce can work miracles, but for some reason he cannot seem to get the balloons out of the top of the ceiling and up about 40 feet. You would think Bruce would be able to buy a ladder that would be able to allow us to climb up there and get those balloons down.
