We are in our 14th year for Flight of the Dove. It's been a very successful event for Hospice of Lawrence County. The riders enjoy it, and the dollars are very important.
You know, it's for hospice, and we've been doing it a lot of years. We all pretty much have kinfolk that's probably been there or going there, so it's good to support that.
Hospice and Palliative Care of Charlotte Region, and through our many branch offices, we serve all of our citizens regardless of the complexity of their illness or their ability to pay. And having these fundraising events allows us to generate resources so that we can indeed serve everyone.
This time last year, I was here because my mom was a patient at the hospice house here. I wanted to come back and do this ride in memory of her and also to help support the hospice house.
The glory of this is people get to touch back with hospice, but it's important for us to be able to come back and see the people that were involved in the care of their loved ones.
