Good morning from Gravette, Arkansas. I'm Kim Gaskill and this is the Daily Spark. Storms, man, did we have some storms last night. Thunder, lightning, rain, some tornadoes. I thought for sure I was going to wake up this morning and see hail damage on my car, but luckily I did not. But what I did see is a lot of destruction— uprooted trees, branches and leaves all over the roads, flooded bridges. And of course, that was the first thing that I recognized as I'm driving these small roads back here. But then as the sun came up and the field started glistening with sunlight, I started to see a different perspective. Yes, there was a lot of destruction from the storm, but I also recognized that there is new opportunity from the storm. The creeks are swollen, and it's been dry here, so there's water now in areas that needed it. For things to grow. All these small twigs that broke off of the trees, there's going to be new growth on there. Even the uprooted trees that are across the roads, people will cut those up for firewood. Winter's coming, they need that. Areas that might have had a lot of debris laying around for a long time are now clear because the storm washed all that away. It was the ability for people to see new areas, to see new things, to see what was under that, that maybe they hadn't seen for a long time. So I'm thinking to myself, storms will come. They will come in our personal life, they will come in our business, and we just have to weather those storms. We have to just push through and wait for the storm to end. There's not a lot we can do about that, but what we can do is we can look at the aftermath of those storms differently. See it as an opportunity for growth. See it as an opportunity to wash away the old and bring in something new. Bring in a change. Storms will come, but let's not look at the destruction. Let's Try to look at the opportunity. That's what I got today. Catch me again tomorrow for another Daily Spark.
