Good morning from Chandler, Arizona. I'm Kim Gaskill and this is the Daily Spark. Out here in the desert, it is dark at night. It is really, really dark. Can't see much of anything. I was driving to the gym this morning in the dark, wee dark, oh, 30, and, uh I turned a corner, and to much to my surprise, the entire downtown street in Chandler was lit up like a Christmas tree. Every tree— now you have to understand, out here there aren't a lot of trees except where they plant them in landscaping, on the roadways, down main streets. So when you turn into Chandler, it's lined with trees on both sides. It's a nice little Main Street area, lots of restaurants, and it was lit up with white lights on every tree for as far as I could see. And you know, it brought that unexpected smile to my face and gave me just that extra pop of joy. The sun's not out yet, so you know, I don't have that happy Joy Joy yet, but that was a very nice unexpected smile. And I thought, you know what, those are the memories, those are the things, the feelings. We've all had them. Think back when you've, you've had one. Those are the feelings that we need to hang on to and kind of put back in a little pocket of our mind So that when we have a bad day, when we're stressing out over something, when something's, you know, really challenging and we want to go to that dark place, that grumpy place, that sad place and stay there, pull one of those little unexpected smiles out of the corner of your brain and remember that. Because, you know, happy and sad can't occupy the same space at the same time. So if you pull that out and put that to the front of your mind, The other stuff goes to the back. I hope your week was great. Catch me everywhere in the socials at Ecotec, E-C-O-T-E-K, and I'll catch you tomorrow for another Daily Spark.
