Good morning from Ahwatukee, Arizona. I'm Kim Gaskill and this is the Daily Spark. That's right, I said Ahwatukee. That is the name of this little town here, and I actually did not pronounce it correctly the other day. I was talking with a friend and I said Ahwatoochee. Of course she started laughing and I was like, all right, all right, Ahwatukee, Ahwatoochee, what's the difference? You know what I'm talking about. And so I'm here today back in Ahwatukee watching the sunrise at the South Mountain, and it's absolutely gorgeous. But I, I was thinking about the name, and I'm remembering that conversation we had the other day. And so I'm thinking, how important is the name? Like, she knew what I was talking about, but I did not say it correctly. And that's reminding me of our brand as well. I was collaborating with, with a colleague yesterday, and the discussion came up about my brand. I have pivoted what I'm doing this year, and my brand is not reflecting correctly what I'm doing. And so we were talking about the changes I need to make on my website and how I need to promote myself online with my brand. And that's the same as a name, like the name of this town, Ahwatukee. It's Ahwatukee, and it is important that it is said correctly because that is the name of the town. Even though she knew what I meant and I butchered the name, it is important to have your brand reflect who you are and what you do correctly. So that's my challenge to you today. It is my One Thing Monday. I challenge you to make your one thing this week: check your brand. Does it reflect who you are and what you do? Do people know when they see your brand what you want them to know? And if not, find somebody that can help you fix it. Join me again tomorrow for another Daily Spark.
