Good morning from Chandler Regional Hospital. I'm Kim Gaskill and this is the Daily Spark. Sleep. When you're in the hospital, sleep is a rare commodity. It's one of those things that you need the most of to heal, but you get the least of. They have to wake you up all the time. Everybody has a schedule. They need to come in and draw labs and give you medication and move you and talk to you and— everybody has their thing. Everybody has their routine or schedule or priority. And it always interferes with sleep. Are you getting enough sleep? Sleep is important whether you're in the hospital or not. Sleep is one of those things that can affect everything else that we do, or lack of sleep. Are you letting other people's routines, other people's priorities interfere with your sleep, with your thing that's best for you, what you need most? And you're not getting? Is it because you're letting other people's priorities interfere? Are you letting other people set the tone, set the schedule, set the priority? Think about that today. Make sure you get what you need to succeed despite everyone else's priority. See you again tomorrow for another daily spark.
