Welcome to a new day. I'm Kim Gaskill and this is the Daily Spark. Are you one of those people that speaks affirmations to yourself every day? If you look up affirmations, it is a big business right now. It is the talk of every life coach and success coach. They all believe that if you're not repeating affirmations, positive affirmations to yourself, that you're missing out on a huge factor that helps your success. The belief is, if you're saying positive things to yourself every day, that what you say often is what you do, especially if you say it to yourself. And so as I was looking things up, I was talking to a friend this morning, and, uh, we follow different people for our positive influence and our mentorship. And that's important. You need to connect with who it is that speaks to you. They can all be saying the same thing, but the way that they say it has to resonate with you. Don't follow someone just because someone else is. And they think that they're an awesome positive influence. If you don't connect with them, it's not going to do you any good. So find that person that works for you and connects with you. But as I was looking things up, there was an article on Inc. that stated the 9 affirmations the most successful people repeat each and every day. And there's a guy, his name is Mario McCracken. He's a global growth consultant and revenue leader at Access Medical Technologies, and he came up with this list of 9 affirmations. He says the key driver of self-awareness is what we tell ourselves about our past, present, and future. Our self-talk becomes our personal stories. We believe what we tell ourselves, and our self-talk combined with matching action is the number one way to change your life. So he says, these are the stories you must tell yourself. 1. I treat others the way they want to be treated. 2. I am ever grateful. 3. I am accountable. 4. I believe in myself. 5. I I have high standards. 6. I follow my heart. 7. I trust my gut. 8. I am resilient. And 9. I help people. Now, I have to agree, if I said those 9 things to myself every morning and repeated those over and over, that would be good for me. No doubt. And so I might try that for the next couple of weeks and repeat those 9 affirmations to myself every day and see if I notice a difference. And if you want to join me, let me know. Send me a message.
