It's a new day full of possibility. I'm Kim Gaskill and this is the Daily Spark. It's Monday. That means it's my One Thing Monday. What is that one thing you're gonna focus on this week? For me, I was kind of focusing on, oh my goodness, it's the end of January. This week, February is gonna be here already. Now, if you haven't been following me, I was in a car accident about 6 weeks ago, and my new normal is definitely different than what I thought my 2019 was going to be. And so when I look at this week, as I normally do on Mondays, I plan out on Sunday night what I'm doing for the week. I get up on Monday, I look at my calendar, and I move into what my priorities are for this week. What that one thing is I'm gonna focus on and get done this week. And that has changed over the last few weeks. My priorities have shifted. What I had written down for my goals and priorities in 2019, especially for the month of December and January, were pretty much obliterated and So I'm looking at this week with February coming up, and I was a little down on myself thinking, wow, I am so behind. But then I thought, you know what, it's okay. Priorities shift, and sometimes that temporary shift in our priorities just means we need to set the things aside we had planned, focus on that new priority, get that done, knocked out, For me, it's learning how to walk again. That has to be my priority right now, and I have to be okay with that. Hopefully this week I can get into a place that's a little more normal for me where I can have more control over my day, because the last 6 weeks I pretty much have done nothing as far as my business goes, and that needs to change soon. I need to find ways to start incorporating things back in, and so that's going to be be my priority for this week is learning how to adapt to this new normal and fit my work, at least a portion of the day, fit my work back into it. So what is your priority this week? Do you have a temporary shift in priorities? Things that have come up, because they're gonna happen. Hopefully it's not an accident like with me, but things are gonna come up periodically that knock us off of our priorities that we have written down for the week. It's really important to stay in the right mindset to keep on track, even if your priorities shift temporarily, and get back to those goals that you had intended to complete as soon as possible. And that's my goal for this week. Join me again tomorrow for another Daily Spark.
