It's a new day. I'm Kim Gaskill, and this is the Daily Spark. When is the last time you flew on an airplane? I had to fly on an airplane, take a trip from Phoenix to Philadelphia. I was surprised at the room that I had. It seemed a little roomier than I remember, but I was also surprised they don't have blankets anymore. It was freezing, and I asked for a blanket. I used to ask for a blanket and a pillow, but I just asked for a blanket, thinking that the flight attendant would reach up over top in one of the bins, pull one out, and hand it to me, and I'd take it out of the little plastic bag, put it on, snuggle up, and nap for the 4-hour flight that was an overnight flight, get here to Philadelphia, be all rested and ready to go. That did not happen. No blankets, really? Seriously? Times are changing. I know they probably don't have them because it could get quite costly to give every passenger a blanket that asks because they can't reuse them, but I was disappointed, I will say. What are some things flying gets you disappointed about? Things that you expect or think should be offered but aren't? I prefer driving. You guys know that, and that's one of the reasons why. I have more control over what I have, what I need, what I can get. All I need to do is pull over if I need something. And I don't have to rely on someone else to get it for me, trapped in a little tin tube 45,000 feet above the ground. Just my little thought on flying. I hope you have a great day. Catch you again tomorrow for another Daily Spark.
