"It's a new day." I'm Kim Gaskill and this is the Daily Spark. It's Saturday and about a 50% chance of rain today, so it's a little gray. You can tell by my voice, I'm a little stuffed up today. I'm out here at my brother's and they have 3 dogs. I love dogs. But I'm not normally around dogs 24/7, so the hair becomes an issue when I'm here for a while. I'll get used to it, but I do have to acclimate to it. And that's kind of like a lot of things in life when we get in situations that aren't necessarily constant or Daily, they might take us by surprise or affect us differently or kind of change something about our health or our character or our routine. But we eventually figure out a way to adapt to it. We eventually figure out a way to— our bodies fight off infections, and, and if we work our muscles, they eventually get back to what they need to do. And our minds, we need to do the same thing with. You know, we need to consciously put an effort toward finding a way to deal with situations that aren't necessarily great or familiar. And they might be challenging, but we can do it. We can have the mindset that, all right, I'm adapting to this. I'm finding out how I need to react to it to keep myself healthy, to keep myself sane, to keep myself moving forward and being productive. And I've struggled with that a few times in the last couple of months. All these different situations that I've been put in that are a bit unique, and I've had to figure out how to get my mind wrapped around things to the state that I'm in, to the place that I'm in, to the situation that I'm in, and figure out a way to productively move forward in that space, in that time in that situation. And it's not easy, and it sometimes seems overwhelming and constant, but you know what? Just like getting used to the hair of the dogs, I'll do it, and so can you. I hope you have a great weekend. I'll see you again tomorrow for another Daily Spark.
