It's a new day. I'm Kim Gaskill and this is the Daily Spark. I love watching the sun come up in the morning and I love listening to the birds and other wildlife wake up and become active and scurry around. Interact with each other. It's one of my favorite things when I'm driving around the country, and I haven't been doing that for several months now, and I've got to say I'm pretty stir-crazy right now. I'm sitting on the sunroom area of the house, and I'm looking out waiting for the dogs here. They're doing their morning outside game, but, uh, I can actually hear the birds from inside here. I can see them. I'm in a place where I'm sitting in the house, but I can see the forest. I'm right in the middle of the Pinelands, which is a protected forest in New Jersey. And so there's a lot of activity here. And because it's cold and it's— the trees have lost a lot of their leaves, they're a little barren. The birds are pretty active around the house because they're looking for the feed and the seed. There's not a lot out there. They have to work pretty hard right now. But it's hilarious to watch them. They're— they all have their own song. They all have their own way of climbing around the trees and interacting with each other. And I find it quite fascinating. But it's not the same sitting inside looking at it as it is driving around the country and actually getting out of the car, sitting in the middle of a national park or at a lake or in a forest and being part of that activity and feeling it being absorbed all around me. But for now, this has to be enough. And it, and it is. It's a mindset thing, and I have faith that it will get back to what it was, and I'll be doing that again. But for now, this has to be enough. And so if you're struggling with something like that, I hope that it is enough for you at this time, and that you can have faith that it will get back to what you need it to be. Just hang in there and join me again tomorrow for another Daily Sparkle.
